Button Disabled

Hello,

I have a gallery which list all items stored in a SP list.  I have added a text input field to this gallery (textinput1_1).

I have a button which is to be disabled if this textinput field is blank and enabled if not blank.  On the displaymode of the button i have:

If(IsBlank(TextInput1_1),DisplayMode.Disabled, DisplayMode.Edit)

This initially works, however, if i type some text into the box the button enables, if i navigate to another screen then go back, all the buttons against each record are enabled even though there is no text in the text input box.  the initial text that i had entered is also cleared.

Is there something i need to add to the formula to only enable the button i select and it disables when text is removed?

I prefer to use Len() for this kind of situation, and you should refer to the property you want to check for wherever possible in your formulae - Power Apps can usually detect which property you are referring to, but I've seen in many cases where it fails to interpret that as expected..

If(
   Len(TextInput1_1.Text)=0,
   DisplayMode.Disabled,
   DisplayMode.Edit
)

Thanks for your replies, tried both of your suggestions but unfortunately it is still behaving the same way that i described:

Initial screen looks like this using this formula:

If(IsBlank(TextInput1_1.Text),DisplayMode.Disabled, DisplayMode.Edit)

Enter text in field, the button enables correctly:

However, navigate to another screen then go back to this screen:

no text in the textinput and both records have the button enabled.

Am I missing something obvious?

Is the OnVisible screen property causing this behavior?  Also, check the defaults for controls involved in the display mode formulas.

ok, so there was nothing on the onvisible, but on the button that navigates to the page, I had put a refresh(datasource).  took that out and it seems to have fixed it.

I also like to check if the textbox is empty. It can sometimes switch between the states of Blank() and empty (someone with more experience may be able to explain why), so I always like to check with something like:

If( Or( TextInput1_1.Text = Blank(), TextInput1_1.Text = ""), DisplayMode.Disabled, DisplayMode.Edit)

This will check if the text field is either Blank() OR empty (the double quote, "")
