using latest available version of powerapps.
using huawei mate 20 lite, updated to emui 10.
when selecting the Add picture control on my device, does not launch the camera, any suggestions?

Yes @itghcitrus ,

Totally agree with you, the issue is one for Huawei.

I do not believe this is anything to do with Power Apps - it is simply supplying an Add Picture control, which on a PC by default opens the add picture dialogue, but Android and iOS have some intelligence that when an add file command is passed, they offer the camera as a source choice. For some reason, the Huawei version simply does not offer this.

This is a similar issue to the Samsung phones where the default camera has to be changed.

Two questions:
1. For the Add Picture control, what is the Camera property set to? 0 or 1? Which camera do you want to use? Front or Rear?
2. When you open the app, it asks for permission to use camera? Did you happen to say no to that by any chance?

regarding permissions all allowed for powerapps, i removed and added the allow permissions again. problem still persist

Just trying to help here - try camera 2 or 3 - this needs to be done on Samsung S9 & S10 - I needed to create a toggle on the screen for users of those devices.

Yes it does work on other devices. It worked on my mobile before too, but the version of Power Apps is newer than the version on the other devices. Also, my Huawei Mate 20 lite had an OS update, so I am uncertain with regards to what the issue could be.

This is still occurring. Power Apps application has updated since the previous comment - no luck. Phone also updated, shared details below.

Power Apps: 3.20041.18

EMUI Build number: 10.0.0.185(C432E9R1P1) (Equivalent to Android 10)

What I have tried:

- Uninstalled app, restarted device, re-installed app, no luck

- Checked default camera, see attached

- Checked Power Apps permissions, see attached

Issue control: Insert > Media > Add Picture

Issue: Camera does not launch (File browser does work)

1. The Add Picture control, please confirm where the "Camera" property can be found, the one you are refering to. I do not see it in the dropdown. Previously it used the rear camera, which i assume is default. I still want it to use the rear camera as it is currently working on other devices.
