Canvas with dataverse delegation

Hi all 

I need to get around 3000 dataverse entity records on power apps canvas app.

I know about the limitation of 2000 rows. As I don't have an ID auto incremented to retrieve the first 2000 and the last 1000 and merge it to a collection, which field I can use on dataverse? Do I have to create an auto increment ID field in the dataverse table?

@Anonymous Dataverse has its own Id for each record. But in may not help in this situation.

It's better if you have a Autonumber field. This is of type text but can be converted into a number in PA.

The other option is to have field of type number and increment the number for each new record.

Take a look at the following chart in the documentation.  Microsoft Dataverse (legacy) - Connectors | Microsoft Docs  Any of the functions in this table that have a yes in the column for a specific data type can be used to work with Dataverse data sources of over 2,000 records directly.  Delegation is all about pre-selecting the right number of records at the data source to do what needs to be done without bringing everything over to the Power Apps device.  You don't need to use a local collection and you don't need an auto incremented ID.

I've made some tests and yes if a do a CountRows(dataverseTable) I receive 2980 rows

But if I do a Set(dv, dataverseTable) and CountRows(dv), I obtain 2000.

I use variable because I need to change values dynamically in a map. 

How can I do to get 2980 rows with a variable?

The point is that you are trying to load the entire table as a variable.  That requires pulling every record in the table across your network connection, which could be a cellphone if you are using mobile.  That is a bad design because it is time consuming (leading to poor performance) and uses a local representation of the data (which leads to errors if more than one person is using the app).  You won't be able to get the whole table as a single variable.  There are ways to load it as a collection by using filters to break the table into smaller pieces.  But I really don't recommend it.  Can you explain exactly what you are trying to do and why it needs to be done with a variable?

I have fields like street Postal code city and  button Search. When I click on search field I need to filter geospatial map items with the result of search field.

So on search field, I set a variable with a filter result. On the geospatial map, I put the variable on the items property to filter the map content automatically after the search.

Filtering on things like street, postal code, and city should all be delegable filters in Dataverse.  There is no reason to load all the records locally to do those kinds of searches.  Just build the filter statement into the Items property of the map so that when you use a search field it automatically filters the map content.

Not really. 

If i add the filter content directly in the items property of the map, it will filter after filled in fields and not after clicking on Search button. 

But i've a plan. I'll try to do a Set(varBolean; true) on search fields and in the map property, i'll add if varBolean = true; Filter(dataverseTable)...

I'll make some tests tomorrow.

If you don't want to apply the Search criteria as they are chosen that sounds like an appropriate way to design it.
