Clear submit button for gallery

Hi!

I am trying to create a submitting button that:

• Clear my data once summited 
• Update information to share point
• Don't let the information be saved if it doesn't meets the requirements

It is only doing  update the information to share point and don't let the information be updated, but I don't get what I am doing wrong. I have tried the "NewForm" and "Reset" formula. I will appreciate any comments, here is my code:

Hi @Aydeedglz,

If you are using a form, you can use ResetForm in the OnSuccess property of the form. However I am assuming you aren't using a form if you are patching your data. In which case in the OnSelect property of your submit button you are going to want to set a variable to true, then call that variable in the Reset property of your controls (textbox,dropdown, etc.) Keep in mind though if you have any default values in your controls they will automatically populate with whatever the default value is after resetting.

What I want to have is all the data clear once I select submit for galForm

What do you mean by set a variable? Only for clearing? Is it that possible? Can I see an example?

in the OnSelect property of your submit button you will add: (see picture for further clarification)

Set(VarName,true); Set(VarName,false);

Then in the Reset property of your other controls add your variable name as shown in the picture below.

this will reset whatever is in your controls back to it's Default. for example, the default value for a text input control is: "Text input"

If you want it to default to blank, you will have to remove any Default text from the controls Default property.

I still want to see that the user summited IF I go to the gallery where my data is stored, I only want to delete when is a new request

How are you going back to your data? are you selecting a record from a gallery and expecting it to populate the controls? if so you're going to have to adjust the default value of your controls to make sure it doesn't conflict with your reset. because after resetting, the controls will load their default value. you can use an if statement to check if a selection was made from your gallery then load the selected values if a selection has been made, otherwise don't load a value.

I have this control (In yellow), If I selected I see al the history and if I select the ">" I go and see the information that was summited, but if I select the top right corner I want to create a new form in blank

In the default property of your controls you are going to want to grab the value of the item you select in the gallery. it's much to easier to do these things with a form but without a form you will have to manually reset the controls with the reset variable when you submit the data, and populate it with the selected item from your gallery as follows:

GalleryName.Selected.YourValueName

you will replace the values with whatever your gallery name is and the value you want retrieved from it.  you will likely also want to reset the controls whenever you start a new form, just to make sure your controls aren't pulling data when you don't want them to. if you want to really make sure it doesn't grab data when you start a new form you could use a variable again, set it false when a new form starts, then use an if statement to make your controls grab the data if that variable is true, then you can just set that variable true when a record is selected from your gallery. that way it only populates when you have selected to view an existing record.
