Combo Box Advanced Fields

Hello,

For one combobox, I'm seeing the highlighted fields under "Advanced" but for another I created, these fields don't pop up--

Any ideas on how I can get the "Default," "Update" and "MaxLength" fields to show?

Sure you can add LookUp columns in your form.  Are you running into a problem doing that?

I was running into issues, and I solved it, but I'm wondering if the solution I came to is the best implementation.  I have a lookup column to a list of cities that exceeds the list view threshold.  So I indexed the cities list but still get the error when I add the lookup column directly to my app.  So my workaround was to add cities as a single line of text field to the main SP list, insert that field, delete the text box and add a combo box to that card whose data source is the cities list itself rather than the lookup field that looks up the cities in the main share point list.  This changed the error to a delegation error and seems to be submitting and saving the chosen cities...  such a complicated implementation to solve the list view error threshold so I was thinking there must be a better way!

How big is your cities list?  Is there any prefiltering you can do to it (i.e. State/city)?

40,000+ lines.  I indexed it and set views by state... what's pre-filtering?

Creating views in SharePoint will not be helpful to your app as it ignores them.

In the case of your app, the prefiltering would be similar to the view concept.  If you happen to have a State dropdown, for example, you can use that to filter the combobox items list.  I can't imaging the 40k cities in a combobox would be user friendly - so the choose state, then choose city option helps with that.
