ComboBox doesn't save selected item sharepoint list

Hello People!

I'm new on powerapps, I'm working with basic sharepoint list for a company project. 

I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I can't save the value selected in a combobox.

This is the situation:

List "buscar" contains a lookup field called "lukop" pointing to the colum 'infolease' in the list "concesionarios"

I inserted the combobox control in the "buscar" SPList inside the "lukop" datacard and set combobox.Items = concesionarios.infolease. Meanwhile I set lukop_datacard1.update = ComboBox2.Selected

I saved and published, when I use the combo to add a new item it works but it doesn't store the value, when I edit it doesn't stores it either.

What am I missing?

That error in UPDATE says you are referencing a ComboBox name that does not exist. Make sure to change ComboBox_lokup to match the name of whatever ComboBox it should be looking at instead.

Hi @mdevaney thanks for your answer again. Answering your question, no it's not as I said in my previous I changed the "ComboBox_lokup" name for my combobox which is "combobox2"

Nonetheless, the App Checker says you are making a reference to a control that does exist. Try to figure out which control that is.

Hello!

The app checker is showing two errors:

1.name isn't valid. The identifier is recognized

2.Unexpected characters. Characters are used in the formula in an unexpected way

The only highlighted string in the formula by the app checket is  '@odata.type':, what does it mean? 

sorry @mdevaney maybe the problem is that i don't understand what your coed does, the values of the properties for the combobox are pretty straightforward but this one in the update property is so complex

Did it work for you? Did you still have a capture with that configuration? i've been struggling with this for 5 days, I've google everything I already read any link that appeared in my searches, I just need to submit a value in a form.

Send a picture of the highlighted text if you can. Make sure it’s zoomed in so I can see the text. I’ll try to take another look at this once you respond. I did test my code initially by writing a small test app so I am curious to figure out why it’s not working here.

These are the two errors.

Btw, you are using and ID field, but i don't have and id colum, there are no "ID" in "Concesionarios" sharepoint list.

Last but not least, maybe am I overcomplicating things? I just need to submit and save the value "infolease" from "concesionarios" SPlist in "lukop" colum of buscar SPList but before I tried to used edit the form I already created "lukop" as a Lookup colum in buscar SPlist and then I deleted it and inserted the combobox, is that ok? Or I should create "lukop" as a single text box?

I can see that the open and close curly brackets are missing in your UPDATE code.  Put a { symbol at the start and the } symbol at the end as I have shown in my example below.  These brackets are very important.

Hi @mdevaney it works, but for some reason i lost the "search" functionality of the combobox which is btw the main reason why i'm using the combo

Did you check to make sure the isSearchable property of the ComboBox has this code?

I don't know why that property changed to false, but now i set it to true and it works like a charm! 😃
