DataTable Conditional Formatting - SharePoint List Gallery-Labels

I have the below datatable in PowerApps.  It is a SharePoint List (this is my first time trying to build a PA).

I want to change the cell in the Availablity and Activity column based on text.

Example - Available will be green.

After researching it seems we can't do this with a DataTable?

If we can, how?  I have not figured it out.

If not, I did try creating a blank scrollable window.

I tried a Label, but not sure if that is correct.

So if I can't use a DataTable, how do I load up the SPO list?

Do I need a label for each person, created manually?  Something else?

Could use a little hand holding here.  Once I get the data in to look like the table below, I can take off from there I think.

Hi @lardo5150

You can accomplish it by using a gallery instead of a datatable.  The "datatable" look can be easily replicated by placing labels horizontally across the row.  There is much more flexibility in highlighting individual labels based on their context within the record.  The headers can be placed outside of the gallery over the appropriate columns.  A trick I like to use for the headers is to create a blank datatable using the same datasource and filter it with the items property: Filter(SPlist, ID=0). Then add the columns in the order you like and adjust the width of the fields to match your gallery columns like in the screenshot.  Datatables have lots of header properties to work with. _1.png

As said above, you need to use a gallery, however, you can add a coloured symbol to the text property using the if function, for example,

If(ThisItem.Title = "True", " "& ThisItem.Title," "& ThisItem.Title)

This gives you a way of marking items in a data table

How do you add more rows in the gallery than the default 4?

@lardo5150

Each row in the gallery represents a record in the list.  To add a new record, add a button outside of the gallery and a screen containing an edit form control.  Set the OnSelect property of the button to NewForm(Form1);Navigate(yournewscreenname,None) and for the Form on the new screen, set the DataSource property to the name of your list and the Item property to Lookup(yourSPlist, ID= Gallery1.Selected.ID).

However, Instead of reinventing the wheel, I suggest that you go to your SharePoint list and select the PowerApps dropdown and let PowerApps create a complete app from your data.  It will create an app with three screens with all the controls you need to add, modify, edit and delete records from the list. .  You can then examine each control and see how they interact. _1.png

Ok got it!

The last thing I need help with is the formatting and how the function lays out.

If I click on my label, for example, my Available Label, I have ThisItem.Availability

Do I leave that and then right under it do I add more functions for the formatting?

and how would the formatting go?  I dont just want the text to be a color.  Actually I would like the text to be bold, and the background of that area to be filled with a color.  Is that possible?

No matter how I edit that function, it gives errors.

HA I figured it out.

One more before I mark solved.

How do I get the borders to show up, horizontal and vertical.  If I do border, it shows a BOX, is that the way it is?

Hi there,

I know this is an old answer, but wondering how you inserted the tick and cross icons in your answer?

You can use symbols in PA labels etc. i just google symbol characters but the below two websites i where i mainly go
