Hi

I have a Date only column in sharepoint and trying to display that data inside the data table Control on the APP, but for some reason it renders the date in the following format (1502319600000) .

I am saving the Date as Date only in the following format mm/dd/yyyy. Since Powerapps currently doesn't allow any formatting of the data for data table, I have stuck with this wierd format.

I know some one suggested to store date as Text instead of Date only but I wanted to avoid that unless if we can't find any work around. can some one pls suggest is this is a know issue and should we vote up.

The issue reported about the Data table controls rendering date incorrectly is a known issue captured in our backlog. Although I do not have an ETA it will be fixed in a future release.

Hi macrag,

I am not able to reproduce this issue on my side.

According to your description, I add a Date only column in SharePoint list, then on the app I add a Data table control and set its Items property to the list.

On both PowerApps studio for Web and PowerApps studio for Windows, the date column is displaying in right format.

For another test, I add a Date and time column in the list, it is also displaying properly on the Data table control.

The PowerApps version on my side is 2.0.676. How about yours?

Thanks for the Reply. Since I am using the Web Preview version so I should be on the latest version and I event tested this with the same version you mentioned on IPAD and it renders the date like that. Here are some screen grabs

I found what the issue is, I noticed a setting in Sharepoint while taking screen grabs and that resolved the date format issue.

the fix for this is I have choosen the Display Format as Friendly instead of Standard and I am not sure what the deiffernce between Friendly and Standard though. But it did resolve the issue.
