Date field in Powerapp

Hi all, I have a sharepoint list, with a lot of columns, and i have made a Powerapp form which is used to update items in the list. If i open one item and click on a date field in the Powerapp form, updates the field with another date, click Ok in the "date-window" and then Save in the top of the Powerapp form... when i click Save the date filed i just updated jumps back to the previous value. If i do all this in a normal speed the date in the sharepoint list is the same as before. If i do all this a little bit "slow" it sometimes works and the date is updated, but absolutely not always. Can anyone tell me why? A lot of people is using this Powerapp form and i can´t ask everyone to do it slow, and also always check so the date doesn´t jump back to the previous value. Thanks a lot. I understand that your date field is not being updated properly once you hit save, is that correct?

In Powerapps, click on the Datacard that includes said date field. Switch to the Update property. It should say something like (your fields might be called differently):

DateValue1.SelectedDate + Time(Value(HourValue1.Selected.Value), Value(MinuteValue1.Selected.Value), 0)

If that's not the case, try to adjust it with the above code and let me know if it saves it properly.

Furthermore, are you talking about the Save button SharePoint provides? Or did you create your own Save button?

Hi Isabasu,

Thanks for your reply, but unfortunately that didn´t work. It´s something else.. It works if i update the sharepoint item (or row as it is a list) with "Edit in grid view", then I can update a date field and then just "Exit grid view". But if i click on the item so my Powerapps Sharepoint form opens my trouble comes. If I update a date field in the form to a new date, then click ok and Save (Save button not created by me, it´s the standard one in Sharepoint forms in Powerapps) I can see that the date I just updated jumps back to the old value before the window closes and in the Sharepoint list the old date is still there... and sometimes if I open the item again the new date I filled in is still there in the form, but not updated in the list.... and then 1 of 10 times it works as I want it to. Have anyone ever seen this? Many thanks!!

So you're setting the date field with a variable?

Could you tell me what you have in the following properties?

1. Date-Datacard.Update
2. Date-Datacard.Default
3. Date-field.DefaultDate
4. Date-field.OnChange
5. Date-field.OnSelect
6. Date-field.Format

That should help me find the issue.

When you submit your form, by default, it takes the Update property of your Datacard. On a date field, that's usually something like the following. Maybe you could cross-check:

// with time
<dteField>.SelectedDate + Time(Value(<drpHourField>.Selected.Value), Value(<drpMinuteField>.Selected.Value), 0)

// without time
<dteField>.SelectedDate
