Detail screen not showing all records.

Hello,

 

I am a bit confused on why my data isn't showing on the form. It has data on some and the other doesn't show data.

I have in both text property Parent.Default, but for some reason, only one shows data and the others don't have data.

Both coming from same data source

 

Any ideas?

First, the selected is spelled wrong...it should be Selected - PowerApps is case sensitive.

Next, what comes after the Selected is COMPLETELY depended on the Items property of the control.  So this varies in every situation. 

So now that you have changed the column and made the changes, what are your formulas at this point for the Text properties on the Labels as well as the Default property of the Datacard?

 

Also...are you sure you are displaying the record you are expecting?  Take a look at the Item property on the Form and make sure it is correct.

The default on the datacard is ThisItem.a01b

The Form Item is set to BrowseGallery1.Selected

As for the Text properties I switched it back to Parent.Default because it didn't like the Datacardvalue234.Selected.Value

 

I just tried Datacardvalue234.text and it works. It might of not shown before due to my columns were not correct.

What are you expecting to see?  In other words, what is in the datasource for the record you are editing and the field you are looking at?

It's not showing the data in some columns that I have in SQL.

I'm looking at the text field that should show the value of each column. I did try to enter in the datacardvalue that was associated with the same partnumber from the edit screen to the detail screen, but still doesn't show the values.

Not sure I am understanding what you are showing.  You have your form with the part number highlighted and then you are showing a run history for a PowerAutomate flow!?

 

In your original photo, you showed two data columns.  Each was deriving the value from the Parent.Default.  Which, unless altered, should be the underlying record value.  So if TotalBinL is showing nothing, then it would be assumed that the TotalBinL value in the underlying record column has nothing.  

Please check the record in your table and see what value you have for that column.

TotalBinL does have records in it, as well as the other columns.

Not really following you!

You mention that TotalBinL has "records in it as well as other columns"

What is TotalBinL then?  It was assumed that this was a column in your datasource.  Yet the picture of your SQL table shows nothing of the TotalBinL.  You seem to be highlighting other column values, but those are for totally different columns...not a TotalBinL.

 

Trying to relate this to the other post we worked on...My impression there was that you were going to have a dropdown with all the bin names in and then have the visibility of the datacards in the form respond to which one was selected in the dropdown.  I am not sure how TotalBinL or TotalBinLo comes into play (or where they even are!)

It does have value in it. I just haven't figured out how to do the math right in sql for just counting the values for each cell if it has value. As for the TotalBinLo, I have it to where it sums the value of each row.

As for the highlight I was just giving an idea on what is the issue.

Okay, so if TotalBinL has a value in it and it is not showing in your control in the form, then what is the Default property on TotalBinL_DataCard2 (the datacard, not the value control)?  What type of column is TotalBinL in your sql table?

The default properties of that card is ThisItem.totalbinl.

It is a narchar on sql. I will change it once I figure out how to add value for that column.

Yes, I would suggest getting that column correct first.  You will then need to remove the field from your form.  Refresh your Datasource in the designer, and then add that field back to the form.  Otherwise it will still think it is the type you have now.
