Hi Er_Dago,

Are you using a custom entity in CDS? Which environment are you using? Could you open the entity in Excel to see if there are any data in it?

I have an app based on CDS entity which was created 1 month ago, I opened the app just now, all the data were shown properly. I opened the entity in Excel, the data can also be checked in the Excel file.

Best regards,
Mabel Mao

I'm using Custom entity in CDS in a custom Envirorment "Test".

When i load data first time it work fine for 2/3 days, then without any update of app or entity, app return error and data in entity vanished.

I can open it in excel but it's empty.

Hi Er_Dago,

Thanks for your reply. I haven’t seen a similar issue likes yours so far, so according to your description, I create a custom entity named “test entity” in the test environment, then I create an app from data with this entity. Below is a screenshot of my app:

testentity1.PNG

I add three items by clicking the “+” button in the app, then I open the entity in Excel file, below is the data in the Excel file:

testentity2.PNG

I will check this app after about 2/3 days to see if I would get the same issue with you. Please correct me if I don’t understand your scenario correctly.

BTW, how is your app created? How many data are there in your data source? If you have any special configuration in the app, please let me know, it might be helpful to reproduce this issue.

Yes, correct.

I've an entity with 900+ record and 13 Field.

other simple entity with 1 column and few data didn't lost data.

No particular configuration, only filter on data shown like:

Filter(SortByColumns(Search(Filter(Entity;Codice=Dropdown1.Selected.Value); TextSearchBox1.Text; "Nome";"Codice";"Cognome";"Email"); "Cognome"; If(SortDescending1; Descending; Ascending));Codice=Dropdown1.Selected.Value)

Greetings

Hi Er_Dago,

Thanks for your reply. I wonder that there are some invalid values in your function. Could you please try with this function?
SortByColumns(Search(testentity, TextSearchBox1.Text,"Address_AddressLine1","Address_AddressLine2","Address_City"), "Address_AddressLine1", If(SortDescending1, Descending, Ascending))

I add more fields in the testentity, with more than 1000 records. Then I refresh the app I created yesterday, all the data can be shown. Using this function:
SortByColumns(Search(testentity, TextSearchBox1.Text,"Address_AddressLine1","Address_AddressLine2","Address_City"), "Address_AddressLine1", If(SortDescending1, Descending, Ascending))

An article about Search, Filter function could be a reference for you:
https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/tutorials/function-filter-lookup/

I will keep an eye on my app to see if I could reproduce this issue.

Best regards,
Mabel Mao

Hi Er_Dago,

I checked the app created 5 days ago which is based on a CDS custom entity. But the data didn’t lose. All the data were shown on the app.

My app was created from data with Common Data Service with no customization on the functions. Did you customize the functions?

Also glad to hear that you have solved this issue by using SharePoint Access Web app. If you got any other issues, welcome post your issues here, we are always ready to help.

Best regards,

Hi Mabel,

I'm having the same issue here. The last time I modified this custom entity was 01/10/2017. Today when I tried to export the data, it said "can't export". So I clicked "data" and found no data was there.

I also tried to open it in Excel, enabled editting, trust the Add-in, but got an error message in Excel as below:error cds.PNG

As a result, my app connected to that entity can't be used either. When I used the app on my phone, an error message showed up ssaying "failed to load 'Inputs_'. Server response: No HTTP resource was found that matches the request URI. No route data was found for this request"

This problem only happens to one of my custom entities. All other custom entites can be exported, opened in Excel and assessed without any problem.

Do you have any idea why it happened? Thanks!

Hi Steven_wang,

Did you get the error message suddenly today? And only one custom entity occurred the error, right?
Do you have any special configures on the entity? Could you show me some details information about your entity if convenience?

From the error message, it seems that it is a server connection issue. I will have to report it from my side, I will back to you if I got any updates.

Best regards,
Mabel Mao
