Error 8004801d when trying to import a Solution

Afternoon
 
I'm doing a POC migration of an App. I've created a Solution and added my elements but on the first attempts I was getting an error saying that I was missing some Option Sets, so I added them all to the Solution before Zipping it. However I'm getting the error below, but I can see the Option Sets in question in  the Solution. Has anyone had the same problem and (more importantly) how do I fix it?! Thanks in advance!

Have you deployed a PowerApps app Portal in your Target Environment?

According to the screenshot that you mentioned, it seems that these missing components are from a Portal in your Source Environment. The error message told that "The other items/components in your solution have dependencies on objects that are missing in your target environment".

The user @AnjanChidige has faced similar issue with you, please check the response within the following thread:

As an fixed solution, you need to import these missing components into your Target Environment. Please go to "Power Platform Admin Center"-> find your Source Environment, then click "Settings" option, then expand the Resources section, click "All legacy settings" option:

Within the opening browser tab, go to Settings-> "Solutions", then you would see all solutions hosted in your Source Environment there:

find the "Dynamics 365 Portals - Web Forms" solution, select it, then click "Export" button to export it. After that, switch to your Target Environment, then import previous exported "Dynamics 365 Portals - Web Forms" solution.

After that, try your import process again, then check if the issue is fixed.

Thanks @v-xida-msft I followed the steps, I couldn't get to the Solutions via the Dynamics 365 Admin but got there through the Power Apps admin. I found the MicrosoftWebPortalsForms but the Export option is greyed out. Is it because of the Admin area I accessed this? Thanks for your help.

Hi @darrenfloyd666 ,

It's my bad. The "Dynamics 365 Portals -Web Forms" solution is an managed solution, which could not be exported in PowerApps directly. I afraid that the "Export" option could not achieve your needs.

As an fixed solution, you could consider deploy a Portal in your Target Environment, then these missing Components would be generated automatically.

In addition, as another solution, you could consider go to the Solution which you want to import to your Target Environment, then click "Add existing"-> "Other"-> "Option Set", within the Opening Option Set dialog, search these missing components (Option Sets), select them, then add them into this solution:

then re-import the solution into your Target Environment, check if the issue is solved.

Thanks for your help @v-xida-msft . Yeah I'd already imported the Option Sets into the Solution (see below) before the export and it still said they were missing, I did want to shout at the screen 'Look! There they are!' 

I'll give it a go creating a Portal in the destination environment but the Option Sets are ones I created in my environment, so would that solve the issue?

Are there any other options for migrating a Power App from one environment to another that people have found worked?

If you deployed a Portal in your Target Environment, these related Components (including these missing components) would be generated in your Target Environment, then re-import your solution, I think the solution would be fixed.

Note: These missing components is related to Portal.

Do you want to migrate a Power Apps canvas app from one Environment to another one? If you just want to migrate a Power Apps canvas app from one Environment to another one, I think the "Export package" functionality could achieve your needs:

Note: I assume that your canvas app is not dependent on these missing components. If you canvas app use CDS Entity which is related to these missing components as data source, I afraid that you still need these missing components to be existed in your Target Environment already.

Cheers @v-xida-msft it's a model driven app so it's not giving me that option to Export. I'll try creating a Portal in the destination environment as you suggested and try and import.
