Filter Gallery Based on Inventory Quantity

Hi All,

I'm quite new with Powerapps, and I'm struggling to get my gallery filtered. On my SP list, I have three columns for "CurrentQuantity", "MinQuantity", and "Max Quantity". So my question is: How can I have three different galleries based on stock? And then When clicking the corresponding button it opens a new screen only with the selected gallery?

Thank you very much in advance!

Hey Kylzbaba,

I managed to get it working! I changed the formula to:

Filter(Inventory, Value(CurrentQuantity) < Value(MinQuantity))

Thank you very much for your help!

If I understand you, you want to filter the gallery based on the stock level. So let's say

  • < 10 means attention
  • > 10 means comfortable level
  • 0 means out of stock.

Thus to filter your gallery,

  • Filter(yours yourSPList, CurrentQuantity > 10) - for comfortable level.
  • Filter(yourSPList, CurrentQuantity <= 10)  -  for Attention
  • Filter(yourSPList, CurrentQuantity = 0)  - for out of stock.

As for selection.

Just add this to the label inside the gallery. Set(varItem, ThisItem).

  • Then set the item property of any display form to varItem. So when you navigate to the new screen it will have a display form or gallery and it's item property will be varItem and thus the selected item.

Thanks for your reply Kylzbaba!

I tried your suggestion but didn't work as expected. ( The requested operation is invalid. Server Response: Inventory failed: Fetching items failed. Possible invalid string in the filter query...)

Basically, what I tried to do was the following:

Out of Stock - Filter(Inventory, CurrentQuantity <= MinQuantity)

Attention - Filter(Inventory, CurrentQuantity < MaxQuantity)

Comfortable Level - Filter(Inventory, CurrentQuantity >= MaxQuantity)

Thank you again!

So it also important your datatype is correct. Are you columns of data type numbers ie single line text and numbers ?

Also the column names are not highlighted correctly, almost as if they do not exist. Can you go on list settings in SharePoint after clicking on this list and then clicking on the particular column name to confirm its correct name I'm share point.

Everything in SharePoint seems fine. I tried to set the filter as Filter(Inventory, ColumnName =0 ) and it worked for all.

If you'd like, we can have a call about this. I don't seem to see the problem but I am available to have a quick session where we can work it out together.

That would be awesome! I can also set up an account for you in our environment so I can share the app and SP list so you can have a look first.
