Filter a form based on Gallery selection

Hi,

I am trying to create a application that makes it easy to keep track of orders.

So far I've made a customer page. I am on the order page. I use a gallery to show the order form. This is easy because they use the same data source.

However. The second form (order details) comes from a different sharepoint list. And no matter how hard I try to figure out the formula that will filter this form, I cannot get this to work.

The order details list has a lookup field that shows the order ID of the order list.

This is following this video Video. Which gives you a good idea on what I am trying to create.

Could you try to set following code to Item property of second form?

LookUp(OrderDetail,LookupFieldName.Value=Gallery1.Selected.OrderID)

Here, I assumed ;

•  List name of order detail : OrderDetail
•  Parent Gallery name :Gallery1
•  ID of order list : OrderID

If this shows an error, could you share screenshot of an error with code?

LookupFieldName is lookup field name in your Order Detail list.
Please modify it to appropriate name.

Hi,

So I corrected it, another error appears. It's become a sharepoint list issue now. I created the OrdersT list and the OrderDetailsT with the 'Order ID' being a look up to the OrderT list's ID field.

Order ID is a lookup field but is identified as a text/single line field rather than a number and this is what is preventing me from continuing this development. 

I will try to fix this and see what if anymore issues appear.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to better do this, I would welcome it.

I just have one more query for this powerapp problem. I tried applying this formula to a data table but doesn't seem to be wrong but doesn't update the data in the data table.

Does Refresh() function not work ?

Okay, I might misunderstood your question.

You may apply LookUp(....) to Items property of Data Table, right?

However, as explained in Docs, the LookUp function finds the first record in a table that satisfies a formula. 

If the relation between OrdersT list and OrderDetailsT list is 1:N, you should apply Filter function for Items property of Data Table to find records satisfying condition

Filter(OrderDetailsT,'Order ID'.Value=OrderGallery.Selected.'Order ID')
