Galleries with Status from Two Data Sources

Hello everyone.

 

I am building an app that allows the user to select the master/reference data source information and then pre-populates form on thge next screen (a form).  Once theyr submit the form, I would like the gallery on the main screen to display a Submitted status from the SharePoint list holding the form/submitted data.

 

Master/Reference data = Master powering the gallery on the persist screen

Form data goes to a different list to record each day's coverage.

 

Question:  How can I have the main persist screen gallery to show that coverage has been submitted.

User selects the chevron to go to the next screen and it populates the form with reference data.  The user then submits the information.  How can I show that for example NC0207 is submitted for today() in the same gallery?

 

Appreciate all of the help.

So in a label then...sure thing.

I am not sure what the relationship is between your two tables (master/child), but if I was to guess, you have a column in '2022 Winter CTA Coverage' that contains the ID of the master record.

 

So, you can show that status in the label by setting the Text property of the label to:

LookUp('2022 Winter CTA Coverage', masterIDColumnName = ThisItem.ID, Status)

If Status is a choice column in the list, then append a .Value to the Status above.

This depends on what your Items property is for your Gallery.

Can you supply that?

The code is below.  Right now it filtering based on the source data.

 

 

 

Filter('2022-01-02 Stations W21 CTA Pick', Tour=TourRadio2.Selected.Value, '22SubZone'=SubZoneComboP.Selected.Result, JobFunction = JobFcnCB_NV.Selected.Result)

 

 

The tour is referencing the radio buttons on top, the subzone is the combobox selection.  The jobfunction is hidden but is a casading dropdown based on the previous two value to isolate to only certain cases.

Correct.  '2022-01-02 Stations W21 CTA Pick'  is my source on SharePoint and not a collection.

 

The form in the next screen takes the selected gallery data and then posts it into another SharePoint list as a new record.  It is known as '2022 Winter CTA Coverage'.  The submitted status is labeled in this source.

Okay...that is all good.  So then what is it in the Gallery that you want to change?

You mentioned "...gallery on the main screen to display a Submitted status..."

What is it that you want to display in the gallery?

I would like to display the "Submitted_Status" field from the '2022 Winter CTA Coverage' which is a different data source.  It would labeled Submitted after an entry has been made.

'2022-01-02 Stations W21 CTA Pick' contains all of the reference information.

'STA CTA Coverage' holds all of the information that is being submitted with the status each day.

 

The common relationship will be a 1:n relationship (2022-01-02 Stations to STA CTA Coverage) on the Job Number.

 

LookUp('STA CTA Coverage',ThisItem.JobNumber='Job Number Text' And DateReporting.SelectedDate = Date,Submitted.Value)

Super User of the Month | Ahmed Salih

We're thrilled to announce that Ahmed Salih is our Super User of the Month for April 2024.
