Solved: Re: Gallery Checkbox default value

In my app I have a multi-select gallery using a checkbox. On the input side the user makes their selections and the selections are concated and patched into a text column.

On the view/edit screen, I am initially showing them the text column with the values as you would see them in a normal SharePoint view. If they choose to edit the information, they are presented with a multi-select gallery where they can modify their selections.

I need to set the default value of the checkbox to equal the selections in the text field. To that end when the item is selected from the parent gallery the on select formula contains

ClearCollect(colCL, Trim(Split(ThisItem.'Channel ATB Distribution Lists', ";").Result))

So I need to set the default value of the checkbox in the gallery to equal what is in the collection.

Gallery Items Property:

Sort(Filter(TechnicalBulletinsDistributionLists, DLType.Value = "Channel"), SortOrder.Ascending)

Checkbox: ThisItem.Title

So then there is no need for any collections in this case.

The Default property on the CheckBox would be:

Self.Text in Split(yourFormRecord.'Channel ATB Distribution Lists', ";")

Just make sure you replace the yourFormRecord with the name of the variable that you are holding your form record in, or with the same formula as your Form Item property.

And your Update property for the column you are populating with the choices:

Concat(Filter(yourGallery.AllItems, yourCheckBox.Value), Title & ";")

Ok I have tried this way and everything I can think of similar to get this to work. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have a gallery on left of screen (gallery)

Gallery Items are a filtered list from table (staffdetails)

Form on right of screen (Form)

Form datasource (staffdetails)

Form item = gallery1.Selected

I then have a checkbox gallery (checkbox) placed over but not in the form due to All Items not working if it’s in form

The checkbox source is a SharePoint list. (Training)

a field on the Form (completed training) & (Datacardvalue1) is updated in Update to concat the selected checkboxes with divider “, “

At present I reset the defaults on form submission or back button.

any tips would help heaps.

I have a question about this topic, I have a gallery within it is a checkbox(3) and what i want is that as a default i want those checkboxes to be checked and the user will have to uncheck them if they dont like the choices on those checkboxes and then a field will show/appear if one of those checkboxes is uncheck.... what code do write in the DEFAULT property of that checkbox? and also for the VISIBLE property of that

field that will only appear if one of those checkbox gets unchecked?
