HELP! CREATING A FLOW TO EXTRACT THE RESULTS FROM A SURVEY USING MS FORMS TO A SHAREPOINT LIST

Hi

A colleague created a Customer Satisfaction Survey and asked me to create a ms Flow to gather the results in a SharePoint List.

I cannot seem to get the Flow correct!

I tried first using her MS Form and the List she created with no joy.

I tried using her MS Form and creating a new SharePoint List.

I have tried creating new everything…

I have no idea what I am doing wrong!

I need to collect the data in a SharePoint list. 

At some point this data will be used in a report using Power BI.

Please can someone help ASAP?!

If the form was created by a colleague then they need to share it with you. If they do share it then it will be a group form. to use a group form you need to copy the ID from the URL that invokes the form and manually paste it into the When a Form is submitted trigger.  After that trigger you should be able to use the Get Response Details to get the answers that are given in the form. Then a Create Item action to create the item in SharePoint and save the responses.

Good afternoon,

I copied the Form so I was the Author but I still cannot get it to work.

I exported the questions in the Form into excel.  There were 53 columns.

The data collates into the standard responses Forms dashboard dashboard, but I need the responses to be collated into a MS List.

I cannot seem to do this.  I have tried to create the list using excel, tried starting from the form, tried from scratch but I cannot get it to record responses into a List no matter what I do.

After Christmas I will need to use the data from an MS List.

I am having issues configuring the entiring thing is seems.  I would have thought this process would be far easier to collate data from a Form to a List.

I would appreciate any help or advice.

To get the form responses into a list you need to create the list with a column for each question and then create a power automate flow using the When a form is submitted trigger. That will trigger the flow when each form is submitted. You can then use an action to get the response details. That will provide you with the answers to each question on the form. You can insert those answers into the list you created using the create an item action.

I have created a new list with the 53 questions in them. 

The questions are a variety of single choice, multiple choice, text boxes and date selections.

Is there anything I should be doing to configure the advanced parameters? 

Would I need to go through every single one?  Or is there an easy way?

Once the lParameters have been completed what action would need to be completed?

The get response details will return dynamic content for each of the 53 questions in the form. You need to insert the appropriate dynamic content from each question into the field in the SharePoint list for that question.  Once you do that and save the flow you can Test it by submitting a sample form with answers and making sure the values show in the list.
