Help Desk Template

Hi, I have installed and customised my app based on the Help Desk template.

To test, I create a ticket successfully and then logout - however when I log back in, my tickets are not saved (shows none)

any guidance will be appreciated

The help desk template sample app doesn't implement a backend data source. So tickets are stored in memory and only accessible during that session.  Follow the instructions in this post to add permanent storage to the sample.

I've watched both videos and cannot pick up where the instruction is to add permanent storage to the sample.

If you read the article, the first thing it tells you to do is create a SharePoint list. The tickets are then stored in that list after you add a SharePoint connection as a data source and switch the controls over to use that data source. The article has a full set of step by step instructions to follow.

Thanks for responding, I am desperate for further support please.

I have the Sharepoint list and  followed the process step by step and have been working on the app for a few days.

At no point when i click on Create ticket, does not update my Sharepoint list which is baffling me.

Is his because the App template has OnStart Default example?

you mentioned, switch the controls over to use the Sharepoint Datasource. 

This is perhaps what i am struggling with?

Also, i am interested where the ticket ID is on the Sharepoint list?

All I can suggest is to go back over the steps in the article.  You either missed a step or something has changed in Power Apps that makes it incompatible with the template.  The Help Desk template is old and no longer appears in the Power Apps list of templates.

I have reinstalled the Help Desk template on its own and it works. 

I will have to start again and try and customise it by adding elements of my Asset Management App in.

I believe i must have installed it incorrectly to start with.
