Pretty simple, but my brain isn't connecting the dots.
I have a clock in button, and a clock out button. I have a gallery.
If the gallery is blank I want to see the clock in button.
If the gallery isn't blank, I don't want to see the clock in button.. UNLESS the clock out button was pressed.
We clock out for lunch and clock in afterwards, the clock in button is on top of the clock out button, and I could just move the button, but I like complicated solutions. 😉
Here is my attempt at coding it which didn't work. Where did I go wrong?
If(IsBlank(GalTimeTracker_2),true,false) Or (If(!IsBlank(GalTimeTracker_2)&& btn_ClockOut_3.Pressed,true,false))

@CodyO ,
The With() statement is for the Visible of the button.

Hi @CodyO ,
You do not need all the if/true/false - without going into the Button.Pressed part (I assume this works for you) try this
With(
{_Gal0: CountRows(GalTimeTracker_2.AllItems) = 0},
_Gal0 || (!_Gal0 && btn_ClockOut_3.Pressed)
)

Unfortanetly this didn't work, it didn't change the visibility of "Clock In", when pressing "Clock Out". I am attaching a couple screenshots in hopes it might help explain my setup and help with getting a solution
@CodyO ,
Firstly this bit
CountRows(GalTimeTracker_2.AllItems) = 0
returns true if the gallery is empty. As I mentioned before Button.Pressed I assume worked for you. The property is only true for the duration of the user actually pressing the button - is this what you are trying to do ?
Button.Pressed didn't work correctly. I need Clock In to stay until its pressed, then dissapear until clock out is pressed, once clock out is pressed I would like to have clock in reappear. Here are some of what I have coded, what confuses me is I believe how I have it coded, it should work, but I think I was overriding my Gallery blank statement.
Clock Out button (This goes to a popup that does the actual patching).
Set(VarGroup_PopupJobNotes, true);
Set(ClockIn, true)
Here is the popup coding when you press "Submit" (To submit job notes from that popup)
Patch(
TimeTracker,
LookUp(
FirstN(
Sort(
Filter(
TimeTracker,
Title = glbUser && 'Time Out' = Blank()
),
ActivityDateTime,
SortOrder.Descending
),
1
),
true
),
{
'Time Out': Text(Now(),DateTimeFormat.ShortTime)
}
);
Set(VarGroup_PopupJobNotes, false)
Hypothetically - Set(ClockIn, true) should make the clock in button reappear, but if I have the If statement on the gallery to automatically put the Clock In button up when the gallery is empty, it seems to override the ClockIn Variable being set by the Clock out button.
@CodyO ,
The only thing relevant here that might help is where/when you set this
Set(ClockIn, true)
then you could do this if it is true and you want to see the button
With(
{_Gal0: CountRows(GalTimeTracker_2.AllItems) = 0},
_Gal0 || (!_Gal0 && ClockIn)
)
Please click Accept as solution if my post helped you solve your issue. This will help others find it more readily. It also closes the item. If the content was useful in other ways, please consider giving it Thumbs Up.

That is working, but Clock In won't pop up when the gallery is empty. Where do I put the With Statement? I currently have it on the Clock Out button. I've never used the with statement before, and I am still fairly new to powerapps. I appreciate your help! Would you mind briefly explaining what the with statement is doing? I am confused by it
Set(VarGroup_PopupJobNotes, true);
Set(ClockIn, true);
With(
{_Gal0: CountRows(GalTimeTracker_2.AllItems) = 0},
_Gal0 || (!_Gal0 && ClockIn)
)
@CodyO ,
