Hide gallery item on selection

In the example above I have two galleries - one to select items based off a combobox selection, and the other which will collect the selections once an "add to cart" button has been clicked (at which point I'll reset the combobox and galleries).

What I would like to do though, is to hide items in the left side gallery if they have been collected in the right side gallery, but I can't seem to find a working solution.  Setting variables on the selections and adjusting their Visible property often hides them once selected, but brings them back as soon as another item is selected (i.e. only one gallery item will hide at a time), which is not ideal.

I can't seem to be able to filter the left gallery to hide items in the right gallery's collection; I've tried using Not in the Filter options for the gallery using the collection data, but it doesn't seem to like that so I guess I haven't worked out the syntax for that yet.  Furthermore adding a certain item will trigger the addition of another (linked) item so in that case, both would have to be hidden, but that's something I can probably resolve once I work out the main issue.

Have your left gallery get its items based on the right gallery.

Example:

Filter(yourGalleryData,
   !(IdentifyingColumn in rightGallery.AllItems.IdentifyingColumn)
)

So, I think that for each item you should have a boolean and, if the user press that button you ste that field to false and you will only show the itens where it is true.

That's interesting and I can see the logic of it - however when I tried it, it removed all of the items on the left gallery as soon as any one item was added to the right gallery ☹️

Yes, this is what I was trying to really - set the variables to hide the entry if IsSelected, but it only hides one item at a time 😕

Hi @aaronhowe ,

I had a slightly different idea:

Make the items property for gallery 1 collection 1 and the items property for gallery 2 collection 2.

Then on the On select property the plus icon of each item in gallery 1:

Collect(ColGal2,ThisItem);Remove(ColGal1,ThisItem)

This will add the item to the collection of your second gallery and remove it from the 1st gallery.

In the second gallery do the exact reverse on the Onselect property of the remove icon on each record:

Collect(ColGal1,ThisItem);Remove(ColGal2,ThisItem)

Yes I can see that working, however the gallery on the left is populated using a SharePoint list dependent on the dropdown selections of two cascading comboboxes, so I'm not sure how to get all of that resulting data into a collection to be used every time.

Properties of the left gallery items: 

Filter('Client Quote - Tasks', 'Task Title' = Combo_Task.Selected.Result)

(and that combobox is driven by 

Sort(Distinct(Filter('Client Quote - Tasks', Title = Combo_Category.Selected.Result),'Task Title'),Result,Ascending)

 which in turn comes from 

Distinct('Client Quote - Tasks',Title)

just for info.)

Properties of the right gallery:

Collection_SubTasks

 That collection is being populated by the OnSelect property of the plus icon.

So the user selects a Task, is given a filtered list of Sub-Tasks and then selects the items from within there to add to their basket.
