How to delete unwanted columns from table in managed solution

In my Power App there is a table in which some columns are no longer used and I want to delete them. I have deleted the unwanted columns in the development environment. I have then exported the solution as a managed solution and imported it to the production environment using the "Upgrade" option . Unfortunately the unwanted columns remain. How can I achieve this?

Your assistance would be much appreciated.

First you have delete unwanted used column in Development environment not a Production environment. So, If you replace / upgrade / import your development coding to Production environment, Production environment data base column not deleted. You can only delete manually in data base and closed your production PowerApps and reopen it. Now you are not seen that column.

Note: Development environment and Production environment must have same column with column type, it's easy to convert. If anything mismatch, you need to confirmed and resolve otherwise your production app not working well. Production environment have additional column means you need to update PowerApps coding to fulfill the additional column requirement.

Thank you @AsanKani . I don't fully understand your answer.

I can't delete unwanted columns in Production environment because it is managed solution and "Delete column" option is greyed out. As a workaround I thought I could delete them in the Development environment and upgrade the solution in the Production environment.

If I understand your answer correctly you seem to be saying that there is a way to manually delete columns in the Production environment. Is this correct? If so, how do I do it?

I think you are said, Development environment unwanted column remain in production environment right?

Is it same column exist in Production environment? 

You answer is yes, means it's remain because you are not delete in Production. and you don't need to delete means that unwanted column is exist in Production..

you can delete manually in Production Environment column or SharePoint list.. that it..

This is what I see if I try and delete "Checked Items" column in Production environment.

Yeah now i understand your problem.

Read the error message again. It's say you are said checked items type as Managed. So Managed solution not able to delete. if need you can edit and changed to unmanaged or other data type. then you can able to delete.

How do you change a field from managed to unmanaged? I am having the same problem with multiple fields, but I didn't think there was a way to edit to make it unmanaged.

I was not able to change a field from managed to unmanaged. In my case I wanted to remove some fields from a table and I had to make the changes in the Development Environment, export the solution and then import the updated solution to the Production Environment. I was worried that the data in my Production Environment would be erased when the updated solution was imported but it did not seem to be affected.
