How to reset some values in a list to another data card value

Hi, 

I am trying to set some values in a list to the value stored in another column. 

I have a list with one of the column headings being a room title, another column heading is stock. 

I would like to be able to set the stock level of specific rooms to the same value that is stored in another column titled re stock value, triggered by a button click, the specific rooms that i want to edit the stock value of do not change, it would be ok for these values to be hard coded.  

I am currently trying something like this: 

UpdateIf(Inventory,Room="165",{'Stock Level':'Re-Stock Level_DataCard2'})

Any tips on how to achieve this would be wonderful.

Are there any screenshots about your problem?

According to your formula, I assume that you want to update value showed in the 'Re-Stock Level_DataCard2' to 'Stock Level' column if the item has Room165.

I'm afraid that 'Re-Stock Level_DataCard2' can't get value in the data card. Usually, we use control or DataCard.Default to get current value in the data card.

For example, I use TextInput control to show the value in the data card. The formula should be.

UpdateIf(Inventory,Room="165",{'Stock Level':TextInput.Text})

Or

UpdateIf(Inventory,Room="165",{'Stock Level':'Re-Stock Level_DataCard2'.Default})

Thank you for your help. 
I have tried out you second suggestion 

UpdateIf(Inventory,Room="165",{'Stock Level':'Re-Stock Level_DataCard2'.Default}

It is close to what I need. 

Each entry has a potentially different restock value, upon clicking the button it should check what the restock value is for all entry's abiding by the rule (room="165") and then update the stock level to the corresponding restock value. 

The current code is updating the stock level, however it is not updating it to its individual restock level.

Do you have further suggestions?

    Room = "165", 
    {'Stock Level': Re-StockLevel_DataCard2.Text}
)

for multiple:

UpdateIf(
    Inventory, 
    Room = "165" Or Room = "167" Or Room = "200", 
    {'Stock Level': Re-StockLevel_DataCard2.Text}
)

It seems like the same behavior is still occurring, it just now applies to all rooms, rather than only "165".
As in, the same stock level value has bene entered for all instances with the matching room value.  
I have attached 3 images, the 'PA_Entry1_Correct' shows an instance where the function ran correct (re stock level of 5 and it set the stock level to 5 as well), 'PA_Entry2_False' shows where the stock level does not match the re stock level. 

I have also screenshotted how the formula was entered (PA_AppDesign).

Hi @Yaz1 ,

This is because one room may has many different re-stock but LookUp just returns one re-stock.

I think I misunderstood you. Do you want to copy values in one column to another column? Is there a column like ID of SharePoint?

If so, please try this.

ForAll(AddColumns(DataSource,"test",true) As C,Patch(DataSource,LookUp(DataSource,ID=C.ID),{Stock:C.'Re Stock'}))

Yes, what you have explained above is correct. There can be different re stock values for the same room entry. There is an ID column. 

Yes, copy the values in the re stock column, to the stock column for entries that have 165, 166 or 167 in the room column. 

I think that should work but there is too many entries in the data source, the values are not updating and the app becomes buggy/laggy when executing. 
Is there a way to first filter the data source based on room so that the code only needs to iterate through entries with certain values in the room column e.g. 165,166 and 167. 

There are approximately 150 entries that would need to be sorted with the appropriate room heading, but over 1500 entries in total in the data source.

I have amended your code to filter the data source before iterating through. 

For future users of this thread, this is what I did: 

ForAll(AddColumns(Filter(Inventory,(Room="165" Or Room="234")),"test",true) As C,Patch(Inventory,LookUp(Inventory,ID=C.ID),{'Stock Level':C.'Re-Stock Level'}))

It now works as expected.
