How to set SharePoint List 'Title' Column from within PowerApps

I'd like the SharePoint Title column to be a concatenation of a couple of text fields.  Since I can't do this as a calculated value in the list itself I am trying to do this within the PowerApps form.  I have tried everything I could find, UpdateContext, Set and just trying to set the DataCardValue10 (which is the title field) to a value.  I even tried setting it to just simple text, but nothing seems to work. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your help.

@rkanter

On the Title datacard default value, change the formula to -

Concatenate(ThisItem.Title,"-",ThisItem.YourOtherField)

Re: How to set SharePoint List 'Title' Column from within PowerApps

Hi @rkanter ,

To set the title column, inside the edit form, you need to first unlock the title data card, then select the textinput control, set its Default property to:

Capture.JPG

And if you want it to be concatenation of a couple of text fields, then you could set the Update property of this data card to:

Concatenate(DataCardValue9.Text," ",DataCardValue10.Text)

For more information about Concatenate function, you could refer to:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/functions/function-concatenate

Re: How to set SharePoint List 'Title' Column from within PowerApps

It was actually a little simpler, but your suggestion helped.  I just had to put this in

"Employee  Request - " & Proper(DataCardValue11.Text) & " - " & DataCardValue12
