How to work with choice columns on PowerApps custom form

I researched how to use a choice field for my column, where there is only one option for the user to select, and I would like to know what would be the best solution involving all types of fields for the user to select or not select that single option...

I hope someone helps

I tried: radio button (didn't worked) and the selection button (I didn't get sucessful)

Blank a field when the user selects an option in another field

in case you would also find it helpful, it is possible to apply this same concept of a solution to even the values of Radio buttons and even, to enable or disable a regular button!

Radio -> Reset property formula:

If(Dropdown1.Selected.Result = "No",true,false)

Button -> DisplayMode formula  (and just in case, you may want to put some condition like this in the OnChange formula of the button just to be sure and make the "No" one just do nothing i.e. false - so that even if it is not disabled, pressing the button will do nothing - for this example, just in the DisplayMode which if done should be enough as well to suppress the button action):

If(Dropdown1.Selected.Result = "No",DisplayMode.Disabled,DisplayMode.Edit)

And finally, put the same formula above for Radio -> DisplayMode property as well.

Ah, you mean a Toggle.

Unfortunately, a Toggle Control cannot be unset. It can be disabled too, but Toggle cannot have the blank value. If you have to use a Toggle, the value of the dropdown would have to be checked with If on the final Submit button step or something like that.

Alternatively, you can instead use a radio button with only one option and apply same concept, and then it could work for your intended use case.

Example below:

How to do it:

Use a Radio Control. Suppose it is called Radio1 in this case.

Use a Dropdown control for the Yes or No - suppose it is Dropdown1 in this case.

Formulas:

Screen1 OnVisible:

ClearCollect(_YesNoColl,Split("Yes,No",","));ClearCollect(_OneOptionRadio,"SingleOptionSelected");

Dropdown1 Items:

_YesNoColl

Radio1 Items:

_OneOptionRadio

Radio1 Reset:

If(Dropdown1.Selected.Result = "No",true,false)

Radio1 DisplayMode:

If(Dropdown1.Selected.Result = "No",DisplayMode.Disabled,DisplayMode.Edit)

If you mean a Checkbox Control, then you should be able to do it exactly the same way with the same formulas as provided for the Radio above, except it is even easier as in the Radio, the Collection for the one-option Radio is needed. For checkbox, this step can be skipped, and just use the Dropdown1 for the Yes No, and then for the Checkbox, just use the DisplayMode and Reset formulas same ones as provided above.

If it is something else, please specify which is the Control.

For the Checkbox way, here is more detail in case:

Controls:

One Checkbox Control (suppose it is called Checkbox1)

One Dropdown Control for the Yes No (suppose it is called Dropdown1)

Formulas:

Screen1 OnVisible:
