Loading 10 records from SharePoint into Powerapps gallery takes 2 minutes because of 90+ columns - Powerapps too slow

I am loading 10 SharePoint records into the Powerapps gallery, however the loading is very slow and takes about 2 minutes which is not expected. I am using below code in Items property of the gallery. Is there any fault with my formula?

Please take a note that I have around 90 columns in my SharePoint list and I understand this is the reason for slowness.

Any alternative ways by which loading can be improved further?

Could you explain what it is that you are doing in that giant if statement?

Also have you considered that maybe you have a few tables combined into one mega table? Splitting the data up could help you or maybe it wont as I dont know your situation. Another thing to think about is how much you are pulling into the powerapps when you run this. If the list has 90 columns but you only care about these 13, then only pull those 13 columns into the app. Again based on your situation this may or may not be doable.

In the if statement, I am have added a filter which will filter out only the the upcoming events from the SharePoint list and not the past events. Hence I am comparing this with date fields.

Also have a searchbox which will search across the SharePoint list and display the search results in descending order.

How to pull out only the 13 columns which I need from the datasource. Its correct that I only use around 15 columns in my landing page gallery and not all 90 columns.

I would test out using ShowColumns functions that takes the list as its first parameter and the column names you want to KEEP to show as the next parameters. 

ShowColumns(Employees, Firstname, LastName, Email) for example will show only those 3 columns and ignore any and all others, but will not actually remove or add any columns to the list/table.

Make sure all of those columns in your filter have indexes in your list settings in SharePoint. Assuming that you have a decent amount of records in this list. If not then might not make a difference.

How many records are in this list? Might make sense to prefetch records to a collection first. Then do your filtering. 

So pull all Active events to a collection, assuming it's always under 500/2000. If so, you can Do something with the with() function like so.

This will pull active events into a temporary variable, then run the compares on the dates locally.
