Modern Progress Bar with PowerApps

Hi Guys,

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. can't even get Chat GPT to help me with this. I have apps attached to a sharepoint list with 5 columns. I have a collection that is created with the 6 stages relating to this application. So I have a gallery linked to the sharepoint list and a gallery inside that with 6 checkboxes named after the stages. I also have a progress bar at the top of the page to show me what stage each client is at. My trouble is that :-

• If I click on the selected client box, all the clients have the same box ticked.
• The progress bar at the top of the app moves when any of the boxes are clicked.

So what I want to do is to have the progress bar linked to whichever client is selected & obviously for the check box that is ticked only relates to the client that is selected.

Hope someone get lead me in the right direction.

OK inserted the container and put the checkboxes in there. The default for the boxes is false. I have linked each checkbox to the main sharepoint list ie ThisItem.'Snapshot returned' etc. Could you please run me through the patch formula for this. Do I need a separate update button for each record or just one that will only update the record that has changed.??

OK. Deleted the gallery. inserted container and checkboxes. Used ThisItem.'SnapshotReturned' etc on the oncheck property of each checkbox. So could you now run me through the Patch formula and how I can get the progress bar to work with each record? Thanks

ThisItem.'SnapshotReturned' should be on the "Checked" property. The onchecked should be Patch(SharePointList,Lookup(SharePointList,ID = ThisItem.ID),{SnapshotReturned : true})

Then onunchecked: Patch(SharePointList,Lookup(SharePointList,ID = ThisItem.ID),{SnapshotReturned : false})

Do that for each, and you should be good. As for the Progress bar, I don't know what your logic is for that?

I assume the progress bar is based on the 6 things being checked, If so set your Max to 6, and value to something like  Gallery.Selected.Column1 + Gallery.Selected.Column2 + Gallery.Selected.Column3 + Gallery.Selected.Column4 + Gallery.Selected.Column5 + Gallery.Selected.Column6

I can't remember if true will count as 1 or not, if that doens't work then just put a bunch of If's around it. 

If(Gallery.Selected.Column1,1,0) + If(Gallery.Selected.Column2,1,0) + etc. for the 6. Then you should get progress +1 for each checkbox that's checked basically.

Mate, thanks for your reply. Have sorted out the progress bar  using this formula -

If(chkSnapshot.Value, 16.66, 0) +

If(chkInformation.Value, 16.66, 0) +

If(chkAppointment.Value,16.66, 0) +

If(chkDocuments.Value, 16.66, 0) +

If(chkReview.Value,16.66, 0) +

If(chkImplementation.Value, 16.67, 0) and works well. The only problem I have now and that is while I have an update button which patches to the sharepoint list, I need the boxes to stay ticked so any time I search for a client I can see what stage it is at.

I have tried this formula :-

The list is updated but the checks still disappear. What do you suggest to keep the checkboxes checked after updating.

So why are you patching the gallery? You should just have the patches happening oncheck / uncheck, and your "Checked" should be set to ThisItem.column1-6

What is your items in your gallery? Should be the list as well. So when you patch it's just patching and it should auto refresh and keep it up to date in real time. Unless there is a reason to delay patching, then you can use a collection from the list, then just patch the collection back to the list on button click.

Thanks again for your help. I have attached a screenshot of the list columns. I have also attached a screenshot of the gallery items. In reality I don't really need the sharepoint list updated at all with the chkboxes. This is an ongoing list and I just want to use this as a referral list so that I know at any time or month what the current progress is, if that makes sense?
