Offline capability - saving dropdown value

Hi all,

I am building an app that should work even when there is no internet connection. The data source is SharePoint Online (lists)

I have a form which is in FormMode 'New' by default. I use this form to fill in some details about a service call.

The form contains 3 combo boxes which point to the Collection.

When I fill out the form, hit Save. It is saving the data, but the lookup columns in SharePoint Online remain empty.

SharePoint:

List Name: Service calls

Column name: Title (Column type: Single line of text)

Column name: Device (Column type: Lookup to 'Devices' list, pointing to Title)

Column name: Account (Column type: Lookup to 'Accounts' list, pointing to Title)

I am hoping to find out why the data is not saved correctly while the app is connected to the internet.

I also do hope this information is sufficient to understand my case. I have tried to copy and translate only the pieces that are relevant.

When doing offline apps I normally take any dropdowns and bind them to a local collection for values instead of the Choices() in the list.  Then whenever you are online rebuild the local collection by calling Choices().  That way the values will be there whether you are online or offline.  Here's the code in my OnStart an offline App I wrote.  then I bind the dropdowns on the forms to the two collections.

@Pstork1, That seems to work just fine! My lack of knowledge leaves me surprised how this could even work.

I have one more question before I mark your answer as a question.

In this use case, it is also a requirement that the end user can upload attachments which will be saved together with the list item.

Basically, my PowerApps just goes straight to the NewForm, and after submitting, a workflow will take care of the rest (sending out a confirmation). So I have the out-of-the-box attachments control on the Form, but I did read saving attachments is not really that easy.

Do you have any recommendations for uploading one or more attachments in this same 'offline supported' app, together with the normal form data? Would there be a proper workaround possible?

I haven't really played with doing attachments offline.  The problem is that you have to buffer everything offline until you go back online again and storage offline is a limited commodity.  Storing one or more files offline, in a bit translated string representation might require too much memory.  But that's about the only way to do it.

Can you tell me what about when our app is disconnect then how we can call our save data in offline mode

When i want to send bulk emails with "send email with options" .I am receiving only first mail .when i respond to first mail then only second mail is coming. 

I want all emails at a time not waiting for first mail response .

Can anyone help me in this scenario.

Edit the settings of the Apply to Each loop and turn on Concurrency.  Then set Parallelism to 50. That will allow the loop to send out 50 emails concurrently. The next 50 will be sent after the first 50 are responded to.  %0 is the most you can do at one time using a single loop.
