Passing Only Certain Variables into a Form

Hi All,

I have made a signing in app for one of our sites that works great. I wanted to set up an option for previous visitors to just autofill their info to save time.

On the screenshot with the list of names this is displayed from my SharePoint list which is where all the names are stored when someone signs in or signs out. I know this could be more efficient but it works for now.

When I select the person I want to use the info from to sign in, it seems to pass through the info from the "Sign Out" column also so when I click save to sign in, it's filling in an old sign out date from a previous sign in. Is there anyway I can only pass through say, Name, Postcode and company instead of just passing everything?

Formula to pass over info is

Set(varCurrentRecord,ThisItem);
EditForm(Form1);
Navigate(scrVisitor);
Reset(tbSearchInput)

Ideally I need another way instead of using "ThisItem" so I can choose which variables I want to carry over.

Let me run through the user process,

So - Page 1, "Sign In", "Sign Out"

On Sign In, you can select "New Visitor" or "Returning Visitor"

On "New Visitor" you are presented with the blank form which you fill in your details, click save and this has a "SubmitForm" formula within which then passes it to the SharePoint list.

On "Returning Visitor" you are taken to a gallery which displays the SharePoint list of everyone that has signed in so that you can autofill your details from a previous visit. When you click the arrow it passes the details over to the Form, which then the visitor signs and then clicks save to send through the same SubmitForm button.

On Sign Out it displays the SharePoint list of every user that doesn't have a time out value on their row. Hence why I need the returning customer button to not pass the "Time Out" value over so they display in the Sign Out page.

Thanks for the info.

Take the Signout datacard back out of your form and 

Put a patch at the top of your SubmitForm.

Patch(SignInList, ThisItem, {SignOut: Blank()});

SubmitForm(Form1)

Change the spelling for your data.

On your Signout page you may want to add SignOut:Now() to your patch.

Tried it on the attached, still shows the time out value?

varCurrentRecord is the variable set to pass over the old login data.

Try adding the ,'Sign Out': Blank() to your second Patch with the Pen Input.

If that doesn't help. We may have to try a Remove to remove the record then write a new one in.

Good idea, how would I combine the two into 1 patch statement? Apologies, I'm fairly new to Patching. I've attached the 2 patch statements.

Just put a , between the two Columns inside the curly brackets.

I'm able to make this work with a gallery. You probably have, but make sure you have refreshed your project and your list in Sharepoint.

Not real sure how to share a project.

I just tested with a form based on a gallery selection.

With the patch before the Submit form, it looked to change the date to blank and then rewrite it back to what was there.

I put a patch after the submit form and had success. Try this using your Gallery.Selected

Put a patch below your other patch and use your Gallery.Selected
