Patch Collection in Column (Multiline of Text) in Share Point List

I am saving data in Collection by using

ClearCollect(Collection1,DropDown.SelectedItems)

And I want to patch that same data in my Sharepoint List Column (Multiline of Text)

I tried this

Patch('List',Defaults('List');{ColumnName:Collection1})

Getting Error:

The type of this argument 'Column Name' does not match the expected type 'Text'

Please help

Re: Patch Collection in Column (Multiline of Text) in Share Point List

Hi @AnjaliS1307 ,

Could you please share a bit more about the data structure of your Collection1?

Based on the Patch formula that you mentioned, I think there is something wrong with it. I agree with @KrishnaV 's thought almost. The 'Multiple Lines of Text' type column is required to provide a text value, but the Collection1 you typed within your Patch formula is a Table value.

So please consider modify your formula as below:

Patch(
      'List',
      Defaults('List'),
      {
        ColumnName:  Concat(
                            Collection1,
                            Value & Char(13)
                     )
      }
)

Note: The Value represents the column in your Collection1, please replace it with actual column name in your Collection1.

Please consider take a try with above solution, then check if the issue is solved.
