Populate a Dropdown Based on the Value of Another Dropdown in PowerApps

New to PowerApps.

I have a customized form that I am using to gather info from users then goes in a collection and then patches to a Sharepoint List. I am wanting to auto populate a drop down based on what the user chooses on the previous drop down. Is there an easy way to do this?

Yes they are choice columns in my Sharepoint List.

I am not understanding where I tell it "if SOW=123 then Cost Center should = ABC"

I am assuming that you are populating cost center and another dropdowns also from the Sharepoint list and want to set the default values as per the previous dropdown.

Is there a key field that associates the two values in your data source?

I don't think so. All the fields in the data source are choice fields. I think that is what you are asking.

what is the datatype of the SOWcolumn in SharePoint list if it is choice use as below:

Lookup('Onboard Test List',SOWcolumn.Value = sowdropdown.selected.value,costcenter)

@KrishnaV  Yes they are all choice fields and what you told me to try does not work. Lookup('Onboard Test List',SOWcolumn.Value = sowdropdown.selected.value,costcenter)

It states invalid argument type

Hi @Tbruns,

That was my bad 😥 use the below to set the default value in dropdown:

 Switch(sowdropdown.selected.value, "ABC","COSTCneter1","ABC1","COST Center2")

Switch syntax: Switch( Formula, Match1, Result1 [, Match2, Result2, ... [, DefaultResult ] ] )

use the same for another dropdown values also.

Can you please explain what I am supposed to put in the codes because I am probably doing it incorrectly. Like I said I am new and do not understand the functions yet. Thank you

Can anyone help me? I am brand new to PowerApps and Functions and I am not sure I am using the correct terms so please bare with me.

I have a Canvas App Form that contains 3 screens. Screen 1 contains Drop Downs for users to select. The data source for the drop downs is the Sharepoint List. Screen 1 is being passed into a Collection.

Screen 2 contains the Gallery from what the user chooses on screen 1. When the user clicks the Submit button it pushes the data to the Sharepoint List.

What I am needing to happen is when the user selects a specific value in the SOW drop down, I need the other drop downs to populate with specific info. SOW drop down is named SOWInput, Cost Center is CostCenterInput and Dept Code is DeptCodeInput. Example: If user chooses ABC in the SOW drop down then the Cost Center drop down should update to 123 and the Dept Code drop down should update to 567. Basically trying to save the users time in choosing each drop down separately.

How can I achieve this? When responding please explain in depth (screen shots help) because as I said I am new at all this. Thank you!
