Sure thing. First click on the card containing the control you want to change. In the example, I want to change the textinput box in the state card to a dropdown. Note that there is a lock icon associated with the card. On the left side in the Advanced section click on the lock to unlock the card. Once the card is unlocked, hide the textinput box and insert a different control. In my case, I added a dropdown with the properties of Distinct(FakeNames, state). This produces a single column table of unique values with the column name of Result. I then clicked back on the card containing the dropdown and found the Update property and removed the reference to the old textinput box and replaced it with the value now called "Result" in the dropdown control. Finally I changed the Default property of the dropdown to ThisItem.state. It would work the same way with a date type column and a Datepicker control. In that case you would set the Update property to Datepicker1.SelectedDate, and the datepicker's default to ThisItem.datecolumnname . If you had a dropdown with hard coded items like ["option1","option2", etc], in the Update property you would have the name of your dropdown control like Dropdown2.Selected.Value.

We're thrilled to announce that Ahmed Salih is our Super User of the Month for April 2024. Ahmed has been one of our most active Super Users this year--in fact, he kicked off the year in our Community with this great video reminder of why being a Super User has been so important to him! Ahmed is the Senior Power Platform Architect at Saint Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis. He's been a Super User for two seasons and is also a Microsoft MVP! He's celebrating his 3rd year being active in the Community--and he's received more than 500 kudos while authoring nearly 300 solutions. Ahmed's contributions to the Super User in Training program has been invaluable, with his most recent session with SUIT highlighting an incredible amount of best practices and tips that have helped him achieve his success. Ahmed's infectious enthusiasm and boundless energy are a key reason why so many Community members appreciate how he brings his personality--and expertise--to every interaction.
