PowerApps desktop studio crashes when accessing laptop camera

I just tried to add a camera control to an app and PowerApps studio crashed. I can create an app using the web version of studiio ok but when I save it and load it in desktop it also crashes.

Not sure when it started happening as I tend to use the add picture control these days, so I uninstalled PowerApps and reinstalled from the store. Unfortunately the problem is still there...

I have pasted an eventlog below that picked up the crash. Anybody else seen this?

Please share more information about how is your app created.

What’s the OS version of your laptop?

When you create a blank app, then add a Camera control, will the app be crashed?

I am running PowerApps studio for Windows(2.0.690) on Windows 10, I can add Camera control on an app and save it without issues.

Could you please try again with it and share with more details about the app configuration?

Hiya

I recorded a screencast to demonstrate the version of windows, the issue and the event log... I did it creating a blank app (although it crashes on my older saved apps that used to work fine)

Just to report an update... Using version 2.0.702, now and the problem remains. Also the barcode reader is affected too...

Hi Everyone,

We recently learned about this crash, it is happening due to changes done by Windows team in the application framework. We are working with Windows team to resolve this. Meanwhile, I will have to suggest you to use PowerApps Studio for web.

Just wondering what the status is on this? I have a project where I need to use the camera control so this is starting to become a hindrance...

@paul_culmsee- any reason the web studio is not working for you? Camera control works on web studio as well.

That being said, A fix from our side should be part of next release which should happen over the next 2 weeks.
