Printable report from Canvas App (?)

I have a Canvas App connected to CDS & am looking for the simplest way to export a monthly report of closed projects.

I am interested in being able to click a button from the Canvas App & have this take the user to a tabular report preview, from which the user can print the report.

What would be the simplest way to accomplish this? The report simply needs to contain (printable) rows/columns of the filtered data.

I am scared my client will flee if I couldn't make him understand that SQL is not a good choice. I will try to convince the client that try to import the excel onto sharepoint and use sharepoint as your Datasource.

I do not know your client, their expectations, perceptions or the relationship you may have with them, but I can tell you for the App that you are developing, SharePoint will do the job.

I am kinda doomed in creating the Formulas for the SQL Source which I had used when I had Excel DataSource.

I am totally in a worst condition now, who can help me in this?

Post a new thread and explain you need to convert and Excel-based app to SQL. There will be people who can possibly help

That is possibly not your major issue. Is the customer expecting you to create the SQL data source as well? If so, you will need to have this created, trying to match all the field names as best you can, connect to Power Apps and then see what is broken.

No, they have already created SQL DataSource and provided me the default application and asked me to convert it just like as I did for Excel.

as you said SQL is kinda problematic to work on, what about CDS DataSource? will that work?

It is not problematic if you know how to use it and start your app with it.

I am simply saying converting an App from an Excel data source will not be a small job and if you have not used it before yourself, it will be a challenge for you. CDS is still a different process (and I don't use that either as we have not got the relevant licence), but you would have some ability to name the fields and Entities closer as you would be creating it. Again, if you have not used this before, you would have to learn this first.

Actually Yes, SQL is my first Source on which I am having issues, and when I created that app in excel I was happy that I had created my first application with your help.

but after the DataSource got changed things got changed as well, although SQL has some limitations as well.

I dont know how can I get out of this, but I have crossed my fingers and waiting for some help.!
