Restrict Duplicate Entry for the End User Using form

Hi Team,

Greeting for the Day!

I need help in building the formula. The ask is- How do I restrict the user for duplicate entry so that they won't be able to make the same information input on the form.

I have a Date and a couple of text fields.

DateFeild Name = DataCardValue25
Enterprise ID = DataCardValue26
LOB = DataCardValue27

These three Feild are my key for restricting the user for not giving me duplicate entry.

Some sorts of the pop-up and barring them for duplicate entry.

But in this case you are using a Date column in your SharePoint list.  There is no need to do the Text function.

However, just be aware (as I mentioned in an earlier response), the Date in the list might not be what you expect due to timezones.

You can always check with a Label set to Lookup(yourList, ID=x, yourDateColumnName)  substitute appropriately.

You might, for example, see 7/15/2020 in your list in SharePoint and then when you do the above, you might see 7/14/2020 11:00 PM.  That is the timezone offset at play.  It is subtracting out the hours difference and thus - 7/14/2020 does not equal 7/15/2020 as your formula might expect.  You can use the TiemZoneOffset function if you run into this.

And if you see under Queue = there is a red line coming.

Plus the Its not working for this Sharepoint list.

I am trying to debug it but it's giving some sorts of error.

First - What type of column is Queue?  

Next - in your formula, you are trying to trim a Date??  I am guessing that your column is not called Date (not sure that name is allowed).  But if so, is it a Date type column?  If so, then Trim will not work on that.  Trim works on text.

Queue is Dropdown

The column name is Date

In Sharepoint Queue is Single line text wherein I modified it in the Powerapps to get the desired result.

 I have changed the Date format to Single Line Text and I used the same formula which we used earlier. 

But the Queue is giving me sort of pain.

Change your Queue = DataCardValue75.SelectedText to  Queue = DataCardValue.Selected.Value

Let's start there.  SelectedText is a deprecated property and should not be used.

If you don't see "Value" as you  type it in, then use whatever column your Items of your DropDown is based on. (i.e. the Items property)

Sorry to bother you once again.

Since I am using the same formula but this time in the gallery outcome. It's fetching an error.

Basically here I am trying to have the combination of 
PKTDate1 is a text format in Powerapps and in the SharePoint list as well.

PKTWeek is also a text field in both place

SAPID  too is a text field.

What is the error that this is displaying?  Hover your pointer over the red underlined formula and see what it is telling you.
