Searching for a record in another list (not gallery) display result on form.

Hello and good morning,
I have a form that contains a search function where a user starts to type the first characters in the text search box.
The dropdown box (lookup) shows the one or many responses to what was entered in the text search box.
The user selects the choice and the fields on the right display the related content.

The issue is that their could potentially be 3000 records to filter so the above isnt realistic.
The form above updates the list "Access Requests" that has a lookup.
I have a connection to the "Roles" list where the disabled data on the right of the form is displaying.
Whether on this form or maybe a new form with a text search box that can do a mid string function, can I pass that ID to the Lookup dropdown box to display the record when a button is pressed?

Yes, choices used to be non-delegable, but they have changed that.

Sorry, I was thinking of something else with the second dropdown...the Items property would be:

Search(Filter(yourList, 'Role Type'.Value=roleTypeDropdown.Selected.Value), Text_Search1_1.Text, "Role")

Well, I added another dropdown for Role Type.

For my "Role Name" dropdown I see the following.

But when I try to use the "Role Type" field, it is not present in the list of fields.
Trying to figure this out.

Just to be clear though, I am to use this function in the new combobox1 field - Items property?

I had some confusion but I was able to figure it out with the information you provided.
Here is what I have

1. A Role Type prefilter
2. A Role Name box that is being filtered by the prefilter

3. I have a TextSearch1_1 search box that doesnt provide the ability to further search the results by any part of a string.  - Can the user still do this?

I don't recall giving the formula you have for Update...(it is not correct).

I see a discrepancy on the Update for the Role Name - it should be DataCardValue1.Selected.RoleName (I assume the Roles list has that RoleName column!?)

The roles list has a column called "Role", which is a text field.
The Access Request list has the LU_RoleName field that is pulling the data in from the Roles List we have been working in.
I renamed it Role Name as the user doesnt understand the LU.
When I try your suggestion I receive this error.
