SendEmail() Error with sending Attachment and loading attachment

Hello together,

we have an app in which we can insert notes. These notes are then sent to an email. In addition to these notes, you can send attachments such as various text files or other things. Sending the e-mail works, but only if you only send the notes. As soon as you add attachments you get the following error message as shown in screenshot 1.

I created a screen where we can add an attachment, here is the code for it:
attachFiles -> OnAddFile ->        ClearCollect (colAttachments; attachFiles.Attachments)

This is saved in a collection. When you are done with everything, all attachments are saved in an extra collection. I had to do that because I have other screens where you can insert e.g. pictures, voice messages, etc. (It's easier for me that way ...)
This is saved in the following collection in this form:
ConfirmScreen -> OnVisible ->

ForAll(
            colAttachments;
            Collect(
                EmailAttachments;
                {
                    ContentBytes: Value;
                    Image: Value;
                    Name: Name
                }
            )
        );;

I send my e-mail like this:

Office365.SendEmail(
            Concat(
                EmailRecipients;
                UserPrincipalName & ";"
            );
            "MEETING NOTES - " & SelectedMeeting.Subject & " - " & Text(
                SelectedMeeting.Start;
                "[$-en-US]mmmm dd, yyyy"
            ) & " | " & Lower(
                Text(
                    SelectedMeeting.Start;
                    "[$-en-US]hh:mm am/pm"
                )
            ) & " - " & Lower(
                Text(
                    SelectedMeeting.End;
                    "[$-en-US]hh:mm am/pm"
                )
            ) & " (" & DateDiff(
                SelectedMeeting.Start;
                SelectedMeeting.End;
                Minutes
            ) & " minutes)";
            LookUp(
                Templates;
                Template = "Email"
            ).Value;
            {
                Attachments: EmailAttachments;
                Importance: "Normal";
                IsHtml: true
            }
        )
    );;

As i mentioned, if i send e-mails only with the notes it works. If i send the e-mail with attachment then i got this error message.

I hope some can help me with it.

Best regards,

Can

"SendEmail()" has been deprecated and it is recommended to use "SendEmailV2()" instead:

Office 365 Outlook - Connectors | Microsoft Docs

In the same documentation you can find that "Attachments" is not an option for this operation, so if you insist on using the collection you might use something like:

            {
                Name: EmailAttachments.Name;
                ContentBytes: EmailAttachments.Contentbytes;
                Importance: "Normal";
                IsHtml: true
            }

Please rename the collection value field to ContentBytes. It will work. check the above syntax for reference.

So your syntax will be:-

{
Attachments: Renamecolumns(EmailAttachments,"Value","ContentBytes");
}

Give me a thumbs up if it works for you.

Thanks

Hello @Abhilash_Swain   and @BCBuizer

thank you so much for your messages. I really appreciate your help. But i have to say, i still got the error like on Screenshot1.

I changed the code to SendEmailV2 like you guys said. I also left the old function for sending the email inside, but also added the new function with the second version. Unfortunately, I get very confused with the renaming. I've tried your two suggested solutions, but I think I didn't quite get it.

My code looks like this:

If(
    ExportConfirmed;
    Set(
        Loading;
        true
    );;
    If(
        checkEmail.Value || OneNotecheck.Value;
        ClearCollect(
            TemplateData;
            {
                Field: "{MeetingName}";
                Data: SelectedMeeting.Subject
            };
            {
                Field: "{MeetingStartDate}";
                Data: Text(
                    SelectedMeeting.Start;
                    "[$-en-US]mmm. dd, yyyy"
                )
            };
            {
                Field: "{MeetingStartTime}";
                Data: Lower(
                    Text(
                        SelectedMeeting.Start;
                        "[$-en-US]hh:mm am/pm"
                    )
                )
            };
            {
                Field: "{MeetingEndTime}";
                Data: Lower(
                    Text(
                        SelectedMeeting.End;
                        "[$-en-US]hh:mm am/pm"
                    )

I am not sure if you saw the code above the sending email function. There i have this one:

ForAll(
            colAttachments;
            Collect(
                EmailAttachments;
                {
                    ContentBytes: Value;
                    Image: Value;
                    Name: Name
                }
            )
        );;

Maybe it has something to do with it?

Thank you very much.

Best regards

Quick update: If i send only a picture which is first saved in the collection Photos and after it in the collection EmailAttachments, then it works. I get the e-mail.

If i want to send only a text file, which is first saved in the collection colAttachments and after it in the collection EmailAttachments, then it works not. I get the following message --> Screenshot4

Both collections colAttachments and  EmailAttachments are not empty, there is always something in it so its not null. --> Screenshot 5 and 6

Hi,

I forgot to share the email I got based on the above code which I suggested. Each Time I attach the item, I am adding it to the collection. Later I am using the collection as attachments (changing the column value to contentbytes). it attached all the 3 images for me.
