SharePoint Date Field Picker Calendar Icon Missing and Control Disabled

Good Day,

On the default screen for my app at runtime, a SharePoint date field calendar picker is in edit mode, but the control textbox is disabled/un-editable and the calendar icon is missing.

In all other screens, the date picker for the same list field is behaving perfectly. That is, it's in edit mode. Also, in preview mode in the Power Apps designer, the date picker is behaving exactly as expected on the screen in question. Any thoughts on this? Ever seen this behavior?

Is your DatePicker in any other control, such as a datacard?  If so, then all parent controls need to be in Edit mode for any child controls to also be in that mode.

In other words, if you have a control in a datacard and the control mode is Edit, yet the datacard control is in Disabled or View mode, then so will the controls in the datacard be disabled or in view mode.

Hello @RandyHayes - thanks for getting back.

I've manually set the Data Card to Edit mode as a test, moving up the hierarchy of controls to the form setting each to Edit, and it isn't making a difference. This form has been working for months and then all of the sudden...this started happening.

So it sounds like this is in a Form.

Make sure that the Form is the Top item in the screen (by top I don't mean at the top of the list, just that it is not in another parent).  Make sure the Form mode and displaymode is set to Edit (at least to test).

Make sure the Datacard displaymode with that datepicker is set to Edit.  Make sure the datepicker displaymode is set to Edit.  

Verify all of those and see if there is something blocking.

Still an issue?...Put a label in your datacard with the datepicker and set the Text property to : Parent.DisplayMode = DisplayMode.Edit

If everything is in edit mode above it, then this should show true

Thanks @RandyHaynes. I've gone through and manually forced everything to be in Edit mode, and am now updating individual controls based on state flags. What seems to have done it is calling EditForm() on the form containing the data card. What's odd is that clicking the 'Edit' button on the form didn't toggle this. Regardless, I'm unblocked and thankful for your time.

Yes, you would definitely need to call EditForm on that form...otherwise it will be in whatever mode that is defined as the default mode on the form.
