Submit Form Combo box Lookup Selection not Saving to SharePoint List

I have created PowerApp from SharePoint List. The Main SP List has column Vendor Name which is lookup to another SP list (Vendor Master). Everything works fine except the selected value from Vendor Combo box doesn't save to column SP.

I have changed Update property of the Vendor data card from DataCardValue8.Selected to

However, when I click Save (Submit) on the form, it doesn't save  and  close the form

I don't see any error and don't know where I can check the error log or debug. Can anyone please help?

The Id property needs to be a number.  Let's start by trying this.  Please let me know the result.

What is the items property of DataCardValue8?

Id part should be the ID value of the related record from Vendor Master list. Please modify the code as below:

Id: LookUp('Vendor Master', Title=DataCardValue8.Selected.Title).ID
Value: DataCardValue8.Selected.Title

The name isn't valid error means it can't find the property called ID in DataCardValue8.Selected.

What code is being used in the Items property of DataCardValue8.Selected?  This might be unintentionally eliminating the ID.

Just replying to this as it is one of the top results on Google for this topic and I've noticed two things that might help others.

First one is that you can get away with this in your Update property.  The odata.type value does not seem to be required, neither is an actual value for the Value field, SharePoint seems to ignore whatever you put in there -

The problem I've had with the above is that it does not work well with Required fields, because even if there are no selected items in your Combobox you are constructing a Record which tricks PowerApps into thinking there is data available to update SharePoint and it duly sends it off with no errors.  This seems to work better though -

When working with Comboboxes and SharePoint Lookup columns you also need to be careful that the Items property of the ComboBox and the Default property of the Datacard containing it are referring to records from the same source.  So for example your Items property is set to a Collection or SharePoint List like MyCustomers, the Default property will appear to work OK if you set it to say ThisItem.Customer, but the ComboxBox will not display the value stored in SharePoint when you close and reopen the Form.  Using LookUp(MyCustomers, ID = ThisItem.Customer.Id) solves the problem.
