Unable to record google day off

Hi team, 

Reaching out to you as one of my direct report unable to navigate through to record GPO day off via the application (Google’s Paid Day Off). The employee followed the said instructions, yet there is no go and continues to see a message which is attached .

Employee Details:

Please advise on the next steps to follow so as to record day off.

Have you verified this user has all necessary permissions in your sharepoint

I'm sure the user should have the permissions. We have been asked to follow the below instructions which were followed. The user expected to see the page where one can record day off insted seeing an error.

Instructions followed:

·         Access the application (Google’s Paid Day Off ) to navigate to the tracking screen 

·         Important: Your first time accessing the application, you will receive a popup asking you to ‘fix connections’ and ‘allow’; You must execute these actions to proceed to the tool

·         Populate the date field with the corresponding day taken as the Paid Day Off

·         Click ‘Update’

·         If you need to reset the date field, click ‘Reset’

Would you recommend any further checks or steps to follow? Appreciate your help.

No I can't think of anything else to try right now if you are absolutely sure he has permissions properly set as this is what the error looks like. What happens when he tries clicking fix connection then logging in there, does it give another error message after or during the process.

On a side note I enjoy that google is using powerapps instead of their own version of powerapps that they own haha 🙂

Yes, google is using powerapps but, technical issues such as these should get sorted out ASAP.

I know you have said he SHOULD have permissions but has your team gone in to verify that he wasn't mistakenly not included, because people make mistakes sometimes and it's possible. Only time I ever see this error is if the person who has tried to authorize access to their sharepoint does not actually have the access granted to them to grant to the app. And if it's working for all your other employees just not him theres a very good chance that indicates something wrong with the individuals account, not the powerapp you created

Okay. To validate sharepoint access to the employee can you help me whom I can reachout? It's tough to find support here always have to run from pillar to post.

You would need to reach out to the admin team at Accenture, they would be the ones who set up the sharepoint list in their O365 environment, and would be the team capable of assigning user permissions within that environment
