View collected drop down value on a list view.

PLEASE HELP!

I've managed to get everything else I want to work, working. Except..... the value selceted from a dropdown list.

I'm not brilliant at explaining things so I'll try to use pictures to show my issue.

I want which ever value that was selected and submited from this drop down menu.

To show here.

Not Showing Value.JPG

Unfortunately all I get is that little (and rather patronising) triangle.

I have tried ThisItem.Status and just Status in the function bar.

Literally any help would be appreciated, even if it is that what im trying to do isn't possible and that I should just call it quits.

Many thanks,

Stephen.

Extra info:

The data is being submitted and pulled from a SharePoint List.

Re: View collected drop down value on a list view.

Hi

I guess you have UNLOCKED the datacard and replace with DROPDOWN.

If yes, then you will see Yellow Triangle in the same datacard where you just click on BOTH of them, to replace the previous datacard to

- Dropdown.   +Dropdown.  (this is for hidden comment position)

- Update: Update.Dropdown.Selected. Results

Hope this helps.

Re: View collected drop down value on a list view.

The object showing the yellow triangle isn't actually a datacard as such its just a text box displaying the information from the sharepoint column, it only on the "edit form" page that it is using datacards, the rest are all textboxes just pulling the information in.

I think it's just showing up because drop down options aren't recognised as text values, which is what the ThisItem. function requires to work.

The issue wasn't with the datacard itself.

Thanks,

Stephen
