When using Sort and Filter it wont show the blank items

Hello!

I seem to have a problem with the "Sort" function. When I use "Lat contact" thats a date/time column in sharepoint and it wont work. But when I use another column which is a textfield column it works and sorts the way I want it too. Any ideas to fix this? I also want it to show the items with fields in "Last contact" that are blank.

I got this code:

If('Toggle'.Value;
Filter(
   Sort(
   'Logg';'Last contact'
   );
AgreementArea.Value in "Location1" & "Location2" & "Location3";
Status.Value in "Ongoing" & "Finished"
   );
Filter(
   Sort(
   'Logg';
'Last contact');
       AgreementArea.Value in 'Sort AgreementArea'.SelectedItems.Value ;
       Status.Value in 'Sort status'.SelectedItems.Value
   ))

@Anonymous ,

There is nothing in this code

Patch(
   'Logg';
   ThisItem;
   {
      'Last contact': DatePicker_1.SelectedDate+
	  Time(Value(Choosehour_1.Selected.Value);
	  Value(Chooseminute_1.Selected.Value); 0)
   }
);;
UpdateContext({Lastcontact:!Lastcontact})

that could be affected by the filter on the agreement selected items. You are patching a date field based on a date picker, which has not been discussed anywhere in this thread. Please post this as a new thread as it is totally unrelated to your question.

To put the code where it belongs, it is something like this

Sort(
   Filter(
      AddColumns(
         'Logg';
         "Area";
         Agreementarea.Value
      );
      (
         Status.Value = "Ongoing" ||
         Status.Value = "Finished"
      ) &&
      If(
         'Toggle'.Value=true;
         (
            Agreementarea.Value = "Location1" ||
            Agreementarea.Value = "Location2" ||
            Agreementarea.Value = "Location3"
         );
         Area in Concat(
            'Sort agreementarea'.SelectedItems;
            Value & ""
         )
      )
   );'Last contact'
)

Hi @Anonymous ,

Can you please explain what you are trying to do with this code - are these multi-select fields?

AgreementArea.Value in 'Sort AgreementArea'.SelectedItems.Value;
Status.Value in 'Sort status'.SelectedItems.Value
Anonymous
Not applicable

@WarrenBelz Yes, those are multiselect fields.

I got these items in a gallery where my collegeus can input date and time, when the clock is past the inserted time it changes color to red. So I want to ascend those fields so those fields who have become the color red shows at the top of the gallery.

Thanks @Anonymous ,

Assuming 'Sort AgreementArea' and Status are Choice fields in your data, try

'Sort AgreementArea'.SelectedItems in AgreementArea.Value ||
'Sort status'.SelectedItems in Status.Value

Also are you getting any errors, or does the filter not produce the required result?

@WarrenBelz Sorry I dont understand, I want to sort on "Last contact", not Agreement area or status, those are filters.

@Anonymous ,

Your data filter on 'Last Contact' actually looks valid - I am trying to see what else in the code might be stopping it. You did not answer the question as to whether you are getting an error (if so, what and where).

@WarrenBelz Sorry for not answering your question, I dont get any errors on the code I posted in my first message

Ok @Anonymous ,

Getting down to basics, if 'Last Contact' is a date field the code below

Sort(
   'Logg';
   'Last contact'
);

 is valid and will sort by date, so forgetting about the result for a moment, if you did this, is it sorted in date order? If so, then your filters are the issue. I have not really looked at them properly and I find your first one confusing as well.

@WarrenBelz This works, but now I see all items in all agreementareas and status. So now I need to implement the other filters somehow?

Anonymous

@WarrenBelz I will try to explain more clear what I want to achive.

When I use this code:

If('Toggle'.Value;
Filter(
   Sort(
   'Logg';
'Last contact';Descending);
        Agreementarea.Value in "Location1" & "Location2" & "Location3";
        Status.Value in "Ongoing" & "Finished"
   ))

Then I can see this in my gallery, but all the fields that are blank (That doesnt have a date/time inserted yet, is missing, I want it too look like this but with ascending and I want all those fields that are empty to show aswell:

seccess.PNG

When I use the code without "descending" the gallery is just blank, with no errors.

If('Toggle'.Value;
Filter(
   Sort(
   'Logg';
'Last contact');
        Agreementarea.Value in "Location1" & "Location2" & "Location3";
        Status.Value in "Ongoing" & "Finished"
   ))
