As I mentioned on another post, at the spot where you are adding that its adding Tables, not a connector.  Also, if you were inside Teams it wouldn't be Premium.  The code used in the design studio is mostly the same in both places so they don't want to have to change the code when they add the indicator. The bottom line is that if you look at the documentation it is clearly explained and marked as Premium.  The icon in the user interface is a nice feature, but it isn't a guarantee.  In the same way Power Apps isn't always perfect about checking whether a Premium license is needed or not and the software doesn't always prompt you when you need a license.  You are still legally required to have a license.

I believe Dataverse, except when you are using the Dataverse for Teams within an embedded Teams Power App, is considered a premium connection and all app users will need premium licencing.

Hope that helps,

Bryan

@BCLS776 Ok thanks , but in this case why  i am not getting the Premium icon beside the dataverse connection?.. also you mean if we use the Datavese connection inside Teams it will be considered a Premium connection ? but if we use it inside the regular browser it will not be considered as Premium ?

I can't explain why you don't see the premium connection icon in the view -- that may be a better question for Microsoft directly.

There are two kinds of Dataverse:

  1. Dataverse for Teams, which has fewer features than full Dataverse, but a Power App integrated with Teams can access the Dataverse for Teams tables with standard licencing
  2. Dataverse, or formerly CDS, always requires premium licencing

@AsanKani but the connectors do not show any premium icon beside any data-verse connectors as shown in this picture:-

johnjohn123_0-1649552987850.png

so i still do not believe data-verse connectors are premium connector? am i correct or i am missing something? for example SQL server require premium so we get this icon beside it, but in data-verse this is not the case:-

The best way to know if a connector is premium or not is to check the most up to date Microsoft documentation which can be currently found here:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/connector-reference/connector-reference-premium-connecto...

Dataverse connector information in particular can be found by searching for dataverse on my first link or going here:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/commondataserviceforapps/

Dataverse is a premium connector.

I hope this answers your question on how to find out whether a connector is premium or not 🙂

In your case the connection to the Contacts Dataverse Table is a premium connector.

AsanKani_0-1649565039877.png

This is shown in Premium Icon for me. You can once check & confirm with create one new PowerApps.
I think that is may be region based view changed, but not sure. This is my guess only.
