i have an employee details list in sharepoint and an time entries list with multiple time entries for a single employee in a one to many relationship so when editing the information for a particular employee i can access his time entries by filtering the time entries from the time entries sharepoint list by refrencing the employee id and the Sharepoint ID of the record of employee from the employee details sharepoint list whose information i am editing but when i want to submit employee information for a new employee and also want to link multiple time entries for that employee and then at the end save the employee details in the employee details sharepoint list and his time entries in the time entries sharepoint list

Could you please share more details about your scenario? How were you creating new employee in the list?

Anyway, you can save the new created employee ID in a variable, then use LookUp function if there is a LookUp column in the time entries list.

in my app the first screen displays all the submitted employee records in the gallery and there i have a button to submit details for new employee. i have split up the fields from the employee details sharepoint list into two forms which are on separate screens. and in between that two screens i have a screen to add time entries for that employee whose details i am filling now and will submit it. i have made two different time entries screen ,the one screen to view and edit time entries for the employees whose details are already submitted when editing an existing employee details and second time entries screen which will be used to add time entries for the new employee. this screen will only be visible when the user is submitting new employee information otherwise the edit time entries screen will be visible. I am using a variable named VarFormData to store the information from both the form and then on the OnSelect property of save button i have this code,Patch('payroll correction parent (Employee Details)',VarFormData,'Employee Form'.Updates,'Payment Form'.Updates) to patch the details to the employee information screen either creating a new record or updating the existing record and the time entries need to be stored in the time entries sharepoint list where i have a lookup column that connect the time entries to the employee in a one to many relationship using the employee id of the employee as a reference. the flow of my app is like firstly when the user clicks on new request he will go to first employee details screen where some of the fields from the employee details sharepoint list are given then there is a next button which will take him to time entries screen where he will add time entries. the time entries screen contains a gallary in a repeating table format with the fields from time entries list with a save button to collect each time record in a collection initially. then there is a next button which will take him to screen with  form to fill the remaining employee details fields. there is a button on the click of which the employee details will be saved to employee details sharepoint list and all the collected time entries records of the collection to the time entries sharpoint list with the time entries linked to the employee whose details we will save on the same button click, i am facing difficulty in doind this connection
