I have images stored in a Sharepoint list. I want to add them to the Body of an HTML email EDIT:: and have them show up in Outlook Desktop and Outlook on iPhone ::END EDIT.
Why is this not working?
So far I've tried:
No matter what URL I copy, the image DOES NOT SHOW in the body of my email. What am I missing? Do I really need to convert the image to Base64 to get it into an email?
EDIT2:: Tried Base64 as well. Outlook Desktop does not render this image type either. ::END EDIT2
Thank you
Hi @ericonline,
It seems that you would like to insert an image in the email body.
Please check the following for a reference.
The image is stored in SharePoint list as Hyperlink.
Add the trigger When an item is created.
Add the action Send an email. In the body of the email, using <img> label in HTML. Please make sure you have enabled Yes for the Is HTML field.
<image src=”dynamic content for the Hyperlink” width=”500” height=”100”>
A screenshot for your reference.
Best regards,
Mabel
Hi @v-yamao-msft. I have tried your suggestion but the image does not show on either Outlook Desktop nor Outlook on iPhone.
Hi @ericonline,
Thanks for testing and providing the detailed information.
I found that the image could only be displayed well on Outlook Web, but neither on Outlook for Desktop not Outlook for iPhone.
I will help report it on my side and back to you later.
Best regards,
Mabel
Thank you @v-yamao-msft. There are other posts in the forum describing the issue as well. Here is another example: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/General-Flow-Discussion/Try-to-Send-Email-using-MS-FLOW-with-Ima...
@physics515: Link fixed 🙂
I'm having this same problem. I have tried google to no avail. Also the link to the other topic is broken.
I have looked into this a little further and it seems, at least on my end, that it is an issue with OneDrive for business not allowing embedded images.
Which is confusing because I can achive this with my personal account, but when trying to build a similar flow for my company it doesn't work. 😞
*Sigh* Get your act together Microsoft.
I'm sure this is because they do not want businesses to use OneDrive as a file sever for a business website. But still.
Hi @physics515,
The issue is also present when storing and image in Sharepoint Document Library and using the Hyperlink/Picture column in a Sharepoint List. So not just OneDrive alone.
Hello @v-yamao-msft,
Is there any update on this item? I'd really like to add images from Sharepoint or a Sharepoint Document Library to HTML emails (viewed on Outlook Desktop and Outlook for iOS).
Thank you
I solved this by copying the images to my companies server via the FTP connector giving then embeding them into the email. It sucks but it works.
