Power Pages Poll gives a different answer than the data I see in the Poll submission for that Poll.

I set up a poll in power pages and made a few demo submissions. I ended up deleting some submissions records. Now the data that is shown in the results of the poll doesn't make sense. I have a few questions:
1. Does deleting a submission not the same as deleting that vote?
2. Where do we store the 

{{ poll.votes }}

data because what I see on the power page website is different from what I see on the Poll Submission table in power apps.
3. What is the proper way of dealing with all this?

Did you clear the Portal's Cache after deleting the Submission records?

(From the editor, Preview or when logged into the portal as a user with the Administrators Web Role <sitedomain>/_services/about and then click the clear cache button)

in the Microsoft docs, they mentioned that the poll results are stored in Poll submission table—hopefully this helps.  https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-pages/configure/gather-feedback-poll#poll-submissions 

BTW what documentation do you follow to set the polls up? I use the link above but is not working for me.

@nestico there's a bit of convoluted info on that link and it may not all be 100% correct (and may rely on various Web Templates existing).

To get a poll to show up (note: I haven't confirmed this in the Enhanced model/Power Pages Management App, but can confirm it works in the non-enhanced model/Portal Management App

1. Create the Poll record (at this stage leave Template empty, and below the Question, add the button label)
2. Add Options to the Poll record (include a value for the Response field)
3. Create a Poll Placement record (at this stage leave the Template empty)
4. Add the Poll record you created in #1 to the Poll Placement (under the Polls tab)
5. In an area that supports Liquid code (e.g. Web Page's Page Copy, or a Web Template) add the following (substituting in the Name of your Poll Placement record) 

{% include "poll" poll_placement_name:"the name you gave your poll placement record" %}

note: in the above "poll" is a keyword and not the poll record you created.

I haven't tried this recently, but adding the Template is meant to further restrict where it will render (only on pages where that use the specified template, leaving blank makes it available to all pages).

Edit: I did end up finding the Random Poll web template, its just not included with all Site Templates. If you  create a Web Template with the Random Poll content (below) then you should also be able to reference in your page copy etc as

but did not work for me, I am using a non-enhanced model/Portal Management App as part of the Dynamic 365 community template.

I added the liquid code in an existing web template "Home"

and then added the reference in the poll record

I am not sure if I missed a step.

not sure if that should be the normal behavior or if it should disappear after the submission.

I thinking of using a multistep form instead of a poll, I think would be simpler to gather user input and easier for the survey moderator.
