Restricting access to contact entity

Hi all,

I have a question, I am in the process of building a model-driven app where various clients will be assigned to various employees of ours and they will see only their clients in a specific list. The issue is the clients have certain contacts connected to them that it is important that our employees can view.

However I do not want our entire contact table visible to the employees, I only want the relevant contacts visible for each employee.

Is that possible and if so i would really appreciate any pointer on how i might achieve this?

Many thanks,

Matthu

Hello @matthu,

If am not wrong, the contact should be visible for the Respective employee alone.

Steps to Follow:

1. Make sure the owner of the Contact is EMPLOYEE.

2. Provide User Level Access for contact Read Access.

Steps to Provide Access :

Go to https://make.powerapps.com and choose respective Environments

Click on Gear Icon at the Top

Click Advance Settings

Click Security

Click Security Roles

Open Existing or Create a new Security Role

Click Core Records

Search for Contact and in Read Level Provide USER(yellow Color).

That's it 🙂 now going further the record which is assigned or created by him can able to see the Record

Let me know if you have any queries.
