@DanishRaouf, the claimed dll is required for signing in.
I wonder if this is your first attempt to log in or not. First of all, can you retry logging in after rebooting your machine?
The error said, "Unable to load DLL". This means the DLL exists in your client but is not able to load it.

Thanks you so much for your fast reply. However I deinstalled every file, rebooted my machine and reinstalled and still got the error message. Why is this happening?

ucrtbase.dll stands for "Universal C Runtime Base DLL." It is a crucial system file associated with the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package. This DLL (Dynamic Link Library) file contains essential functions used by programs written in the C++ programming language. The Universal C Runtime (UCRT) is a set of runtime libraries that are necessary for running applications developed with Microsoft Visual Studio.

If you encounter issues related to ucrtbase.dll, it usually indicates a problem with the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package or the absence/corruption of the DLL file. Here are some steps to fix issues related to ucrtbase.dll:

  1. Update Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable: Ensure that you have the latest version of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package installed on your system. You can download it from the official Microsoft website.

  2. Repair or Reinstall Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable: Go to the "Programs and Features" or "Add/Remove Programs" in the Control Panel, locate the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable packages, and choose to repair or uninstall and then reinstall them.

  3. Windows Update: Ensure that your Windows operating system is up-to-date. Run Windows Update to install the latest updates and patches.

  4. Run System File Checker (SFC): Open a Command Prompt as an administrator and run the following command:

    bashCopy code
    sfc /scannow

This command will scan and repair system files, including DLLs.

  5. Check for Malware: Perform a thorough malware scan on your system using a reputable antivirus or anti-malware program. Malware infections can sometimes lead to DLL file issues.

  6. Manually Replace ucrtbase.dll: If the DLL file is missing or corrupted, you may try to replace it manually. Obtain a copy of ucrtbase.dll from a reliable source, such as another computer with the same operating system and version. Place the DLL file in the appropriate system directory (usually C:\Windows\System32).

Always exercise caution when manually downloading DLL files from the internet, as they may be outdated or compromised. It's preferable to obtain DLL files from a trustworthy source or use official installation methods.

Remember to create a system restore point before making significant changes to your system to easily revert to a previous state if needed.

Note: The specific steps and details may vary depending on your operating system version. Make sure to tailor the instructions to your particular situation.

Thanks for sharing the detailed steps you did.

Then, can you try to register the DLL manually?

I bet you know( at least search) the command to register a specific dll from windows command.

I tried every other option also based on ucrt. I have no clue what to do anymore. However I need to use the process mining app for my work. Can you guys maybe schedule a call? So I can share my screen?

Dani

Thanks for update @DanishRaouf. I would suggest to re-install Power Automate Process Mining application. Which you already did. So could you please open installation directory of the application and confirm there is ucrtbase.dll file ?

To locate installation directory

  1. Start  Power Automate Process Mining application
  2. Open Task manager and locate Power Automate Process Mining application
  3. Right click select Properties
  4. In minit.exe Properties dialog copy Location path from General tab and open folder

There should be ucrtbase.dll file version 10.0.22000.194.

Hey @PeterCrow ,

Here as you can see there is a ucrtbase file in it. It is also the right version. And still it gives me an error message when I try to log in.

Can you plse help me further.

And here is again a screenshot of what is happening when I try to log in.

Thanks for update @DanishRaouf, could you please upload files from the following folders:

C:\Users\{user}\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Power Automate Process Mining\Logs

C:\Users\{user}\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Power Automate Process Mining\Telemetry

It is not supported to upload those files. Is there another way to upload the files? Or maybe send it to you?

Hi @DanishRaouf, it should be possible to pack them as .zip and upload them here.

Here you go.

Thanks for update @DanishRaouf.

  1. Do you use any antivirus that could block loading of ucrtbase.dll. If so can you try to temporary disable it and try to sign in ?
  2. Can you open the application installation folder right click the .dll file go to preparties and check the ACL in the security tab. You should have at least permissions to read and execute the file.

We solved it, when I downloaded the app on my private laptop I can open the app. I think my antivirus blocked the app. So its the antivirus... XD
