No Dynamic Content Available / Ask in Powerapps Missing

Hi

I've previously been able to build flows that connect via our on prem gateway and execute stored procedures by passing a value in from powerapps. Normally when I select the Stored Procedure and click in the Parameter box I am able to select "Ask In Powerapps", however I now see the message "No Dynamic Content Available". I've tried this with different stored procedures and get the same issue. All the apps I've set up previously using this same method has allowed this and still allows it. It just seems to be affecting new or edited workflows.

Anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

Just to give you a screen shot of my issue:

resendLetter Issue.png

Same issue.  I'm wondering if it has anything to do with another issue I've submitted a support ticket about:  unable to connect to the Flow Management connector in either Flow or PowerApps.  Attempting to do so results in a "We received a bad request." message on sign-in.   And possibily related to a third issue:  unable to provide parameters to the Flow Run command in PowerApps.  All attempts to do so result in an "Invalid number of arguments" error.

Hi @johnmarlowe,

I have made a test on my side and don’t have the issue that you mentioned.

When I create a new flow:6.JPG

When I edit the flow:7.JPG

Please take a try to clean the cache of Browser and re-create the flow again to check if the issue still exists.

Best regards,

Kris

Kris,

Thanks for looking into this.  I will try your suggestion, but please note that I'm working with Microsoft on what may be an underlying issue:  efforts to use the Flow Management connector in either PowerApps or Flow result in a peculiar authentication error ("We received a bad request."). This has already been escalated to the product team.   If Flow Management is what enables visibility of PowerApps dynamic content in Flow, then this would explain its absence.

Please take a try to clean the cache of Browser and re-create the flow again to check if the issue still exists.

I cleared the browser's cache, but the ability to add dynamic content is not available to me Smiley Sad

I also can not log in into Flow management

Hi @PowerUsers,

Which Environment role is your account?

This is a admin-level connector, so if you are an Environemnt admin, you could use this connector to manage all of the flows in your environment.

More details about the Flow management connector, please check the following article:

https://flow.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/planner-triggers-connector-improvements/

Best regards,

Kris

I'm facing the same problem. There is no way to use the dynamic content! I want to call a store proc and pass parameters to it so I need to use the dynamic content 'ask in powerapp'. is it a bug or does it come from my side?

thx

I would like to add some information. When I create the Flow from the PowerApps Flow template, there is no "Ask in PowerApps" option. However, creating from blank with the PowerApps trigger, "Ask in PowerApps" is available. As someone else noticed, when I try to edit the newly created Flow, the "Ask in PowerApps" option disappears.

This seems like a bug because we should be able to edit a Flow without having to recreate it from scratch.

Although this issue is still outstanding for me, I found an alternate solution that makes it unnecessary -- at least for now -- to use PowerApps at all.  My scenario involves two SharePoint lists, one for messages and one for recipients.  I simply changed to a trigger that launches the flow when a new message is added to the SharePoint online messages list.

Same issue here

We have the same issue, whether starting from a template or from blank. I also can't open https://flow.microsoft.com/manage any longer. None of my old Flows that start from PowerApps have "Ask in PowerApps" available any longer either.

I tried this as well and have used it as a workaround for the time being so thanks for the tip. It works if you start the creation of your flow from scratch i.e. I went to  https://emea.flow.microsoft.com/en-us/, My Flows, Create From Blank, "Search...Triggers", Search for Powerapps in connectors (Then select Powerapps - Powerapps). Then when you add a New Step from here and select "Execute an SQL Stored Procedure" as normal you get the option for the "Ask In PowerApps".

If you try this in the flow creation from web.powerapps.com (i.e. where the selector is already preselected for you) then you don't get the Ask In Powerapps option.

Also as you said you get one chance at this, as editing causes the same issue regardless of where you edit the flow criteria - unless you go so far back in the edit you delete the chosen connector and you effectively start again.

@johnmarlowe, indeed it works when you go to https://emea.flow.microsoft.com/en-us/ and create a flow from scratch.it's weird... Thk for your tips.
