I'm new to PowerApps and our organization is tring to utilize Perwapps as submissions forms mixed with Flow to send data to specific emails.

I'm having trouble updating a variable in a submission form and need that information to tranfert to another screen and insert a sum fuction that will send an email when the submit button is hit.

I have managed to get the data to move from one screen to another but it updates all my fields vs the corresponding field.

I've attached two images of the screens when changed.

I am using the Gallery lists for the two screens.

Then I encourage you to replace every ID with the column name for the item names. That should work for you. Your code should look something like this:

Would you post the code in question? Are you actually using a Form Control or are you using a Gallery/"Custom Built Form"?

The Formula that I would like to see are the Items property for the Gallery on the second screen you mentioned as well as the Formula that contains the Navigate() Function to take a user to the second screen. Basically, I want to see how your app is getting the data to be "transfered" and displayed on the second screen.

The code for Navigation that I'm using is as follows

Navigate(OrderConfirmation, ScreenTransition.None,{UpdateContext:TotalPriceSum})

I'm using Gallery/ Custom built form. The data i'm connected to i'm only using to list my Items and some description in the Gallery.

Then I'm trying to move "selected Items over to another screen which is also a gallery and use the Filter command to filter for only items with values.

The second screen is connected to the same database for the basic item information.

I'm also trying to use a checkbox to then create a value within a Label

Passing a Variable through the Navigate() Function will not work here. Your best bet will be to add to the OnChange Property of the slider:

If(Slider1.Value>0,If(CountRows(Filter(LIST2,ID=ThisItem.ID))>0,Patch(LIST2,LookUp(LIST2,ID=ThisItem.ID),{Total: Label_Total.Text}),Collect(LIST2,{ID:ThisItem.ID,Total: Label_Total.Text})),RemoveIf(LIST2,ID=ThisItem.ID))

Essentially what you are doing is creating a Collection of all items that were selected (Quantity > 0). This makes working with things much easier. Just make sure the default for the slider is set to 0.

Subtotal will then be: Sum(List2,Total)

No, Because you would be patching/removing data from the Collection not your DataSource.

Thank you for the information.

I tried inputting the code and recieved an invalid argument error.

Maybe i did not change the nomenclature properly to match my app?

TemplateGalleryList1 is the name of your Gallery. You need to create a new Collection (Table variable). For Example, replace "TemplateGalleryList1" with "Total_Data" in your formula and see what happens.

I went ahead and tried replacing the TemplateGalleryList1 with Total_Data and it came back as an invalid argument type.

Would this require my second screen to be blank to move the selected items over?

Would you mind posting another screenshot? This would not require your second screen to be blank as a collection is not screen dependent. The collection exists outside of which screen your users are on unlike context variables (which only exist within a specific screen).

Did you place Total_Data into any other formulas?
