Approval flow keeps being rejected when is approved

I have literally done all I can, I have watched few youtube videos and read all the forum discussion. I redo and redo and reado. Its still the same thing. Just tell me what should I do now? Should I report this to the Microsoft about a bug or I'm really doing it wrongly. Please help me

Please show your Condition details.

Welcome to my web site.

So, I have clicked on the approve button them it end up as reject option.

Here it is.Here it is.

What's content of your Condition? What exactly you are comparing there?

________________________________________________________

Welcome to my web site.

I'm not sure what do you mean by my content of the condition. Briefly, I'm doing a vacation request asking for approval from the HR department. It is just as simple as, when the HR click on the approve button (outcome) is approve, ( if yes ) then it will update my sharepoint content as approved. But right now, each approved updates as reject in the sharepoint. kjbd.PNG

Try to compare with Reject.

See the same problem here: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Flows/Wait-for-approval-V2-Outcome/td-p/318505

Welcome to my web site.

Yeap, I have tried. Vice versa, when click rejected ... it will appeared approved in the status or go to the approved email.

Please confirm if you have tried to use this condition:

Outcome          is equal to        Reject

________________________________________________________

Welcome to my web site.

I have tried, and everything is leaning toward disapprove whether I approved it or reject it now after using your suggestion. Do you think its a bug?

No I do not think it's a bug.

Could you somehow show me content of Outcome field after clicking Approve button?

________________________________________________________

Welcome to my web site.

From the picture below, I have clearly click on the reject then it will go towards approve when I set my condition under 'outcome is equal to approve'. Vice versa action, when I clearly click on the approve it will go towards reject when I set my condition under 'outcome is equal to reject'. I have try and error with every method, tested out every condition available. Btw, thanks for replying, at least I don't feel like giving up. I really wanted to throw my laptop away
Here is the output of approvalHere is the output of approvalHere is the output of condition. Here is the output of condition.

Look:

1. Response is Reject in "start and wait...", then you compare Outcome with "Reject" and result is true.

2. Why you set "HOD approval status" to "Approve" in "Add a row..."?

________________________________________________________

Welcome to my web site.

Look : Outcome is equal to approve, approval form status click on Approve, but condition went false when it suppose to be true.
This is the condition. This is the condition.I have clicked on approve, during the approval formI have clicked on approve, during the approval formIts suppose to be true but the condition said its false, when clearly I did put ' Outcome is equal to Approve' If yes means Approve , if no mean Disapprove. Its suppose to be true but the condition said its false, when clearly I did put ' Outcome is equal to Approve' If yes means Approve , if no mean Disapprove.

Try to use condition "Response is equal to Approve" instead of  "Outcome is equal to Approve"

@312_312

You may have mentioned this above, but do you list multiple approvers?  Is the Approval set to "First one" or "Everyone must approve"?

Also, it might be helpful in resolving this issue if you were to add a Compose action immediately before your condition.  Set the action equal to Outcome.  Run the Flow again and post a screen shot of the Outcome output.  You could use a variable rather than a Compose action if you would like.

Hi @312_312 ,

Please take a try to create the flow as below:

1.png

Please make sure the value in the Second field of the Condition is string Reject without any other string such as space.

Best Regards,

Alice

Hey, I have tried that already.

"Outcome does not contain reject ". So when I approved it, then the condition move to true. But when I click on reject at the approval form, then the condition move to true again when it suppose to go to false. Once again, from the beginning of the message, I did say that I have tried everything condition available in the microsoft flow.

This is start and wait approval with Approve/Reject - First to respond option. Is there away for me to report this to Microsoft flow to fix this? Maybe I'm the 1 in 1000 account that got this problem persisting. The first thing in the morning, it works well with the condition written "Outcome is equal to Approve" When the approver approves it move to If Yes, when the approve reject it move to is If No, then in the afternoon it went haywire again. Hence, I can conclude that Microsoft Flow is still unreliable at this stage

Done it, every flow user will advice outcome is equal to approve. Same problem still persisting. Thanks!

@312_312

Please add a compose action and set it to the Outcome value.  Post a screen shot here of the Compose action output after a run.

I hope you are not calling me to try to change the condition that is available, as I have already did it but I couldn't really screenshot all of them.  Here is the screenshot of the compose output

When Outcome is equal to Approve. When Outcome is equal to Approve. This is compose output of Outcome is equal to Approve. The condition said is false when it suppose to be true. This is compose output of Outcome is equal to Approve. The condition said is false when it suppose to be true.Outcome does not contain RejectOutcome does not contain RejectCompose said its Reject, then it went to true when it suppose to be false since it contain reject.Compose said its Reject, then it went to true when it suppose to be false since it contain reject.
